Get Grant Back!!!
by shirin pathak on Feb 10, 2009 10:44 AM  | Hide replies

Avram Grant was better than Scolari, his record was identical to that of Jose Mourinho,so he should get a second chance, after all he has experience of English football, chelsea must also try to get some more new players such as Van Der Vaart and Xavi Hernandez

Scolari is not in good form for recent years. After Euro 2004, he lost his power I think!!

Better Things to come
by ashish ashok kamath on Feb 10, 2009 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

Scolari's outster is not unexpected as under Mourinho Chelsea never lost at home. The standard he set was very high. Scolari could not meet the high expectations & so was fired. U cant win the league if u lose against top sides like Manu & Liverpool at home. Change was necessary. Zola might be the new coach.

ashish, even a new born takes 9 months in the womb, here scolari was handling a team which was formed by some one ealse, he shud hv bn gvn the time , mourinho has managed teams in europe all his life and knows the brand of football played where as scolari is more of the south american type, he shud hv been persisted. anyways he will probably land at man city after mark gets the boot from man city.it is h'ever a pleasure to watch the league games, ultimately one gets to see the best brand of football in the world.

Chelsea on sacking spree
by mang buhril on Feb 10, 2009 09:21 AM  | Hide replies

Sacking managers has been what Chelsea is doing these days. What about the players who underperformed. Is it okay to put the blame only on the manager???
But on a second thought, i have seen how Chelsea play the last match against Hull City, a totally hopeless side with no motivation at all, everyone seems to be playing for their own, far from being the team play they once were.

Hull City is not a hopeless side at all.
They have got more points than any promoted team did have in theor first 15 games. they were once third in the standings.just going thru a lean patch.they are definitely not going to be reegated!

Hi P Rohit, hopeless here means Chelsea in the context of that game, not Hull city in any way. Hull City is an amazing size which can give any team a run for their money.

EPL making record by sacking two managers on single day. It is not only Scolari also Tony Admans was scaked by Portsmouth. May be one day there may not be any managers in EPL. hahahha

mang , the team is the same, but the prob is with the approach of scolari who has changed the formation from man to man defense to zonal marking which the players cud not adapt. added to this was the injuries to some players in mid field. though am a man u fan, wud like chelsea to gv a tough fight to others, they hv been playing good attractive footbal till recently, after all it makes two good teams to give a spectator a interesting game.

they are related !

both in cricket and football, they chase 1 ball, despite having...............!!

there are 11 players in each side. just the difference is that on the field at any time, there are 13 players in cricket (and 15 if you include the umpires), whereas in football, there are 25 players (22 3). the other difference is that cricket players dress like traditional naarishus, while football players dress like bollywood heroines !

i can go on and on, but think i will stop here.
