Dear Mr.Gill, Formula racing is an excellent sport. When chess and carrom is recognised as sports in India, Why not formula racing. In a world wide rating, formula racing is viewed next to foot ball. Sports is a form of entertainment. Force India should b congratualted for its wonderful performance in the Belgian grand prix. This is a sport which requires 100% fitness and concentration. It is the duty of govt. to recognise it on par with Cricket. The govt. need worry much about the promotion of this sport,becoz there are automobile giants & other MNC's who would be intrested to sponsor & promote this sport in India like crickent

With due respect to HRM's view, I would like to just share my view. I enjoy F1 but to be frank, it is work not only by the race driver, but also the technical staff which helps the driver. Too much technicality in this. But the other sports mentioned by you can be honestly played by anyone and anybody with a slight level of interest can take that up. But F1 you need lot of bucks to start off. It is just my view. no hard feelings.
i think this sport should be immediately banned world wide cause it just a waste of fuel which we know is very limited, just imagine this all idiots practicing whole day and wasting lots of fuel.
It is very interesting to note that India is majorly good in Cricket and Kabbadi .... and both of them are not olympic sports .... wat say Mr. Gill?? Wat a loser this guy is ....
the govt is extending all out support for premier sports like chess, carrom etc...i advise all indians to actively take part and win gold medal in these games and make the nation proud
Its always been like this, Gill is not having any characters to be a sport minister. U know when saina nehwal performed well in olympics, she was invited to meet the sport minister Mr. gill and the coach of her and all english champion Gopichand also went with her to meet him. Guess what Mr.gill asked Gopichand WHO ARE YOU, and when gopichand explained that I am gopichand and saina's coach and I am all england Badminton champion then only our sports minister able to know him. Is this the sport minister act not even knowing a shuttle champion Indian. He sucks first let him Know the sports person of India and then he comment on F1
