Smaller countries are putting there mark in world championships by winning gold medals. India should also put all its efforts in training young atheletes and it has lot of talented atheletes but due to lack of training and poor facilities are unable to get any medals. Govt. should do something about it. more than a billion population but not a athlete sad.......

What... did you see how many calories Phelps eats, there was a huge program. Supposedly he eats close to 11000 calories every day.

I rate Bolt as his records are tumbled by himself in just short periods of time. Other past records in fast running categories are in danger of breaking. And he is also more appealing personality than phelps.

No university or science can set or dictate or even analyse human limits: Since what they test and decide are on the basis of the test conducted at lab under some ideal conditions but for human, mind is far more important than body. Sometimes mind dominates so much over a particular task that it overshoots the bodily limit, no doubt causing wear and tear to the body but completes that task therefore definitely precising human limits is itself impossible. If it would be possible then soon we can have human robots/hybrid humans (capable of doing everything humans can do)
Fact that Bolt has NO competition on Track and Field, like Federer dominating Tennis.Bolt is actually threat to Federer as best athelete in the world( current Era ), as well as Laureus Sports award for 2009.

Bolt's achievement is great. What surprised me is your comparison of him with Federer. Tennis is a great game. However, am not sure, athletics and Tennis are apple to apple.

your comparision is very weird. Tennis doesnt require a person to be totally physically atuned like a runner will have to be. the thinking aspect is a lot less for a sprinter and a lot more for tennis likewise.
Such a historic feat but not a photograph of the legendary sportsman. Had it been about a movie star or cricketer, we would have been showered with boisterous pics. Or is it that photogenicity counts even here ?
