Sania Lost in second round is common. Even though she is a great player, she faces very tough opponent every time. Best option for Ms Mirza is TRY Badminton. With her big Forehand and excellent ground coverage she can do wonders in Badminton, Fact that Badminton has less competition( played in 15-20 countries ) SAINA NEHEWAL has already cracked TOP 10. Mirza can aspire to become All England champion.

She did not win. Sania just won a set. Besides Sania is capable of much better tennis. She is losing matches because she gets tired quickly.
Sania,Please work on your serves.9 double fault with a poor first serve percentage is horrible and not acceptable.Without the serve the chances of winning another title is impossible.
To all Sania Mirza haters...she deserves all the attention she is getting. Here is why.
There are 1000s of girls played tennis at national level and challenger series and aspired to go to high level since India's independence. Nobody else could do that except Sania Mirza why? What she achieved so far is 1) winning WTA title, 2) Asian games medal, 3) Grandslam title 4) reaching 4th round at singles grandslam 5) Seeded player in a grandslam 6) Last but not the least...inspired 100s of girls to play tennis.

Yes, previously, rediff always posted her pictures along with the report and people commented on her looks and her physical features rather than her losing.

Ya! She finally managed to take a 35 year old player to 3 sets. In her prime, Serena would have blown her off in 25 minutes. Don't have such lowly standards for satisfaction!

Get your facts correct first before you blog. Venus is not 35 years old. She was born on June 17, 1980 which makes her 28 years old.

Not really. Venus is a old toothless tigress now. There have been people who beat her solid in the first round.

Irony of Indian players in such games is that we feel happy on their rankings which are like 100th or when they play against a strong player, though they loose, but manage to stay in ground for some time more than they spend when they play with 110 ranking player!
