i was talking about ramanathan krishnan being the only top athlete india have produced in a globally popular sport but he was ranked no 3 in the unofficial rankings and his highest ranking and best show in slams came before the era in the time when all the best players in the world turned pros rod laver for eg, not only missed 21 slams in a row bang before the start of the open era but also was not allowd to play in many slams in the open era coz he was a contracted pro he would have easily won more than 20 slams and unlike sampras - borg - federer, laver was a super genius in all of the four slams which is the reason why he is easily the goat meaning greatest of all time.
Time we bring tennis to masses. It so far remained a money bags club game.Mass connection alone can bring talent to surface and will bring quality players.
this year INDIA didn't qulaify for the olympics hockey competition and now they are out of davis cup first round. india should set up a task force consisting of ex-players, administrators and coaches to analyse what went wrong and for remedial measures. if india were to become a super power, we should excel in games and sports too ( like china).
one olympic gold medal for a country of 2 billion is unacceptable

"... india should set up a task force consisting of ex-players, administrators and coaches to analyse what went wrong and for remedial measures ..." - Very well said ... But alas !!! This is India ... It won't happen ever ... We are here to quarrel and fight among us in the name of religion ... Otherwise we shouldn't have gone down 50 FIFA ranks below what we used to be in football just in 10 years ...

rightly said. there is a saying that in democracy the leader represents the majority, so it proves we have a majority of crooks & naturally all leaders are crooks

Great..he lost this time, so use all that opportunity to bash him...carry on. Leander has problems with multiple people in the team, not just Prakash. Just because he is winning doesnt mean he is the best captain.

Atleast he is winning at this age also ... Let the younger players first come upto his level and then do whatever they want to ... Somdev has a bit of courage to fight atleast, but what the other person was doing ? Putting us in shame ???

Who cares ! Paes has been winning for India from more than a decade and no one has shown so much passion as him. Prakash is a loser, he is playing for India only because of his Dad. He got so many opportunities but he didn't utilize them, it is time for him to enter Entertainment business like his family.

I saw three matches live in Bucharest, ROMANIA ...the singles matches were very poor ....Prakash AMRITRAJ ...lot of forced errors.....
Met Leander PEAS and other; he is such a cool guy.....
No surprises and the writing was on the wall. The rubber went as per the form and India cannot rue the result. India should try and consolidate the position in Asia group where new threats are emerging in the form of China, Japan and Thailand and we cannot assure world group play off even
