congrats federer
by sixto dsilva on Sep 09, 2008 09:55 PM

This is should be a special moment to Federer after losing two finals to Nadal, he needs to relax and concentrate for coming year.
I think he should be happiest man now after wining the US open and Murray should be credited for doing the excellent job reaching his
first grand slam final. As rightly said he had a great tournament , hope he does well in wimbledon 2009.

Federer Vs Nadal
by SREENU RAO on Sep 09, 2008 06:30 PM

Time immemorial esp. in Tennis we have seen that Power players who are very fast movers on court with less technique being prone to injuries (unless of course they are taking drugs or steroids). Even if after Federer is going to fade away (Some die hard fans of Nadal believe that US open win is a fluke) I am sorry to pour water on their dreams that it will be a Herculean task for a power player like Nadal to stay fit & without injuries for a period of 4 years as Numero Uno.

Good technique never fails...i started following tennis fully due to this stupid media attention on nadal ...i had sleepless nights when he failed in wimbledon...yday i didnt sleep ...i was so happy that good has won against the power of evil nadal...Fed u can reach easily 17 - 18 grand slams...i wish u will beat nadal in 2009 french open then prove the whole world ur the best ...no once can touch ur foot...

Mr Rahul,

Fedx is no doubt a great player but you should not nadal's power is evil. that is the way he plays and still he thinks that fedx is number one despite he is now. he very humble and good human being. you should have respect for him.

I don't think Nadal is humble. he just pretends to be humble. The way he was walking on the roof after winning wimbeldon and the way he snarls and shows off his biceps once can hardly call him humble.

Nadal is just a baseliner and a claycourter.

Noise and class are different, wait and see master cup and Australian open.Nadal never reached any major hard court Final so far(grandslam) even though he is making enough noise.

First Nadal can't win Wimbledon any more in presence of Federer.
Secondly I am sure Nadal will struggle in next year to reach in final of any major tournament in presence of Djokovic, Murray and Federer.

dear anurag.....just a small correction.....i dont know about nadal reaching finals of other slams but he surely wud be reaching finals of french and possibly or shud i say undeniably winning it.....beacuse i guess we have all seen even the great player that federer is, not able to do anything in french against nadal.....

All this talk about, if nadal had done this, than that.. is ridiculous. Fact is Nadal did not make the final. Federer and Murray did. But some people should still complain about his win. And they will keep complaining, having nothing better to do. If Federer should consider himself lucky, so should Nadal at winning Wimbledon. And Djokovic is hyped after his one fluke upset over Federer and his clown antics. Federer is a class act, the real thing. Those continuing to live in denial are free to do so.
