wil u STOP speaking nonsense about LEANDER PAES! He is a gritty fighter. and dont talk about his age bcos he has proved what he can achieve even now by winning mixed doubles title and reaching the finals of US OPEN championship. Instead of appreciating his achievement you are condemning him!! Pls dont talk rubbish about any sportsman until you know the value of that person!!!

abs right. Leander should not stop now because these are his best years before he finally retires. He was a good fighter and gave his best for the nation. We are all proud of him.
Both the teams and all the players played best to their potential, that's why both the sets were won or lost in the tie-breaker. What more one can expect from a final of a grand slam.
Hats off to all the four players for a wonderful match....
Though Paes has lost lost in the doubles, he has made India proud. For the second consecutive day Indian flag was fluttering high at the flushing meadows in New York. One of the commentators called Paes a magician, Mike Byran called him a legend. What else do we need. The pair of Peas and Dlouhy started playing from the French Open onwards and this is quite an achievement. The lost both the sets in the tiebreaks.Someone comments that he is playing for his own glory. Could you the Indian Flag for the last two days. He has base in Orlando USA and he certainly does not India as fas tennis is concerned. But he has shown his spirit to all of us.On this forum there are some sick minds which the moderator has to check properly. It is really disgusting to read filthy messages for idiots who will not even spare their own wives, sisters and mothers. Shame on you creatures. You are the scum of India.

hey u stupid guest, what good does Paes winning a grand slam do for India. He plays grandslams doubles to fulfill his personal goals. Most of the year he stays away and is least bothered about the tennis infrastructure in India. And b4 u jump the bandwagon I would like to point out to you that he played in Olympics for a bronze as this was the only event he could make a mark in singles. Elsewhere in singles tournament he is a non entity.

WELL THE FACT THAT HE REPRESENTS INDIA IS ENOUGH FOR US TO FEEL PROUD. DONT BE SO CRITICAL ABOUT HIM. TO PLAY BETTER HE HAS TO BE AWAY WHERE THE TOURNAMENTS AND PRACTISE IS ON AND NOT ENJOYING ON BEACH HOPE U UNDERSTAND

when one sees posts like the ones by this bugger....one can understand why india will never progress...
people like you are social disease...Paes won Olympic medal when your "patriots" fell flat...he's been playing davis cup for almost 20 yrs now & has defeated players like ivanisevic for the nation where there was no monetary gain...
but no point of saying these things...it won't get into ur chicken brain

Think Ramen DAS IS right. Paes has done India proud so many times in past, in particular Davis cup matches & still people talk like this!!
Good that the selfish Paes lost. He shouldn't have won the mixed doubles either. Anyways it's action time in Mens singles semifinals. The four gr8's will be playing in closely contested games. watch out and enjoy.

What u mean he is selfish. He was playing on his own. Did you or India provide him any benefit to play. If you do not understand tennis then shut your stupid mouth.Did you see the Indian flag for the last two days at the flushing meadows. There are other donkeys on this forum with comments like yours, so join them

Mr. Infidel, you can't say that Paes is selfish.....He has brought honour to India by winning or reaching the finals of this Open. U might have seen the waving Tiranga (Our national flag) at US Open, it is because of olny Paes. What the hell, you, ur father and India have done for him. What do u want that some amount of his prize money, he should give to U, ur mother and Indian Government.... Always think before speaking, otherwise u will never be a good man in ur life.

U r right nitin. Paes is one of the best sports man india has ever produced and a very nice human being.I have met him many times and he is better then cricketers and a true patriotic by heart.

I think this infidel Blogger is an anti indian, hence he is showing his frustration by degrading Leander Paes who is one of the best sports person India has ever produced

its a win and a loss mr.pillai.set the records straight have a heart to appreciate a winner.
Leander lost only cos of Dloughy, i saw the match Live and Dloughy really looked out of place with his weak serves and inability to put the bad balls away, in short, he was a failure and pulled Leander down..
Leander better team up with dynamic Radek Stepanek or Dmitiri tursunov in the future...another guy that Leander can think of is Janko Tipsarevic...
Re: Paes should find another partner fast!!
by G on Sep 06, 2008 08:27 AM
I agree. Dloughy made many errors and couldn't finish off the points on many occasions.
sania is injured now.. is there any girl or boy in one billion plus population to represent India in grandslam singles?any indian participated in US open tennis singles? why? that means whole india is dependent on sania to raise indian flag at pretigious grandslam singles.. is this true?
Re: who if sania injured?
by Paritosh Dhavale on Sep 06, 2008 08:06 AM
Take it easy. There are many more champions in India like Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna.
Re: who if sania injured?
by Francis Xavier on Sep 06, 2008 11:28 AM
what did these champions win in recent history other than complaing against fellow players.
Re: who if sania injured?
by ramen das on Sep 06, 2008 10:57 AM
amritraj & Bopanna have been playing for several years now...they r of the standard of Jishan ali & Asif Ismail...won't move beyong 2nd tier tournaments...
Re: who if sania injured?
by Venugopalan on Sep 06, 2008 11:19 AM
No. you are wrong. Of late both prakash Amritraj & Bopanna are showing promise by beating their strong opponents.
Re: who if sania injured?
by Tommy Cat on Sep 06, 2008 07:50 AM
Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi have won a lot more accolades for India in world events...we are surely not dependent on an overhyped fake loser like Sania to bring us glory.....even in badminton, Sina Nehwal will bring us lot more laurels....i'am sure in tennis, there will be a few girls who will bring glory....Sania mania is over after her non-show at the Olympics....we want someone who is proud to be an Indian and prud to represent India...not someone who is more interested in dating Pakistani cricketers.....
Re: who if sania injured?
by Yoo Hoo on Sep 06, 2008 12:30 PM
what rubbish...you are a trouble maker and very jealous of sania... its a fact that paes and his father run a mafia where they dont allow any one else to grow. No indian, esp a hindu indian is given a fair chance while the dad son are running the mafia...
