Just imagine if Bhupathi & Paes were still tennis partners !!! How many Grand Slams more we could have won ? How many Olympin medals we India could have won ? How many youngsters would have been playing tennis rather than cricket ?
Wish our senior diplomats also find time in mediating minor ego issues between great sportsmen like Leander and Mahesh rather than between the two Ambanis !!!

I would like to correct u here... If Paes and Bhupati were still partners, How many Grand Slams would THEY have won? - Can't say. Maybe none, Maybe many. Anyway, what is the rest of the country doing? Have you thought about doing anything yourself? No. We want others to work hard and do something for the country. ON a personal note...we want to laze arund and have a comfy life! That is what the problem is....Not deplomats, not politicians, not sportsmen...
The problem is common men. The day each and every man would want to do something for the country, there will be many such Leanders and Bhupatis.
So before you analyze their 'egos', analyze your own.

great job done utpal, I'm with u, we should do some thing on our own rather than plying this blame game.
yah, "I don't think there's going be too many Indians coming around who would be able to do what I've done. How far my name can live in those famous history books, that's what we players play for." If you win people will remember you. Yah its true that lots of people are taking part in different tournaments, but we are remembering only those who are abe to bring a title...a cup..it's true ...we are selfish. Only we want cup. ...It's also true we want to be in the winniner's team. I think you can understand my feelings. all are with you Paes

It means truth.Leander is correct. Not too many indians will be able to achieve what leander has.He has nothing to prove further as he has already made his country proud by winning 7 grand slam titles and an olympic bronze medal. At the age of 35 he is still good enough to reach a stage close to add 2 more grand slam titles in his cap.He is a champion.

please don't bring in this money/country thing... we've seen too many of them going into oblivion and living in poverty after playing for the "country"
Congrat, Paes, you are like a Indian Soldier fighting in the front line of Kashmir, like defending our country, a soldier never appriciated never honoured, but still they are in our prayers and in our minds, for what they are doing, same goes with you, Credit only goes to you and your family, NO ONE ELSE, indian Tennis Association, is the most IMPOTENT Association in India, so no hope from them either, anyway all the best my Indian Brother, our prayer for you and your family always, may god give you lots of happiness and good health and may give you more energy to make this limited achieved sports nation something to cheer about. cheers
