Both Anand and Kramnik showed terrific sportsmanship in this world championship match. They have lot of mutual respect and the world appreciates this fact.
Congratulations to Anand for being the peoples' champion and to Kramnik for being a worthy challenger.
Hope this popularizes chess in India where a lot of quality talent is giving up on chess due to academic pressures.

akash ji..this all destruction is just created by our honourary and so called secular politicians, like as u know if we won't fight who will consider them worthy and give these germs a single vote, because they know its onlt religion or regional outcry which can earn them some vote and moreover they don't know what is the need of development. Also people, will never come to protest for development or on corrupt beurocracy they will only create rucus when there will religion or region will come.
I have been following your moves right from the time you won the World Junior championship two decades back in 1987 in Manila and soon after you became the grandmaster. You have consistently kept up your performance in the last two decades (that was almost the time Sachin also came to the international scene). Considering chess is played in almost all the countries of the world and India didn't have players of your class for long, your achievement all the more stands out. Best Wishes!
