anand played superbly in the second game and had an upper hand most of the time but had to accept draw due to time trouble and agreed for a draw... but the position of draw was clearly in the anand's side, had he not miscalculated time, he wud have surely won... but a good show by world champion...

Its shocking that their is no proper media coverage for this great game of chess title.
Times give whole page to ICL,Even rediff like to put anything happening in cricket field at the top.but coverage of chess ya true, you have to search for. This is how games in india are treated. What to concern about, even a world campion from INDIA is playing.

Anand has been an epitome of sportman behavior ON & OFF field and he is respected all over including his rivals. He achieved this fame on his own with his family support, {trust Sports Authority of India & Mr. Suresh Kalmadi DO NOT claim credits on Anand's success !!}. There has been attempts at demeaning Anand's success at earlier World Championship in absence of Kramnik who boasted that he gifted it to Anand !! A very arrogant statement - I sincerely wish and pray for Vishwanth Anand's success so that it comes as a lesson to arrogant Kramnik. This winning is vital to Vishwanath Anand to seal his fame & glory in Chess World for time to come. Kramnik is good at match playing {one-one basis}, while Vishy is extremely good at tournaments - i.e. playing multiple players with different skills... My heart & mind prays for Vishwanath Anand to win and put India's name on Chess world for forever.

Go Vishy Go

Vishy Anand is one of the rare public figures who lets his work speak for itself rather than bloating about his achievements at every opportunity possible, like is the norm these days.

He has kept up the Indian flag in the Chess fiefdom for many years now and God willing he will be able to defeat Kramnik this time.

he is an exceptionally good player, rather unluck sometimes but a thorough gentleman. He has lost at this stage a couple of times before and some of those defeats were very unlucky in respect of their timings. But I think that he gets a little under pressure at this stage and makes uncharactiristic mistakes.

But lets wish him all the luck this time and lets hope for the best.
