Bhupati has shown that he doesnt have the stature needed for a top class player. Time our Tennis establishment stops pestering Leander to team up with Bhupati and ignore Bhupati in all future competitions involving India. He is dragging tennis through mud for his personal reasons without a thought for the future of tennis in India. Also Leander should concentrate on people other than Bhupati. My respect for Bhupati is down to the pits.

Paes and Bhupathi have captured the imagination of tennis lovers across the globe. The kind of respect, legends like Patrick Rafter, Andre Agassi, Martina Navritolova, etc have showered at various times on both these players is great. Ever noticed a speech of the wining & losing players after the final match at majors Wimbeldon, French, US & Australian opens: The speech consists of, thanking/respecting the game of the opponent player, thanking their coach, parents, friends, family members who have contributed to the players success since childhood & also the spectators and the organizers, in a very humble manner. When legendary tennis players than Paes & Bhupathi can be so humble & shower respect on the opponents after tense, crucial, bitter matches, why cannot the Indian Express learn such sort of professionalism. I guess both Paes & Bhupathi need to learn from legendary players like Navritolava, HIngis, Agassi, Rafter etc who have cheered both Paes & Bhupathi. Blame also lies squarely at how sport is administered in India. Looks like Sports in India are ruled or mis governed by individual egos, likes & dislikes. Hope Tennis legends put some sense into both Paes & Bhupathi. or Paes & Bhupath learn and appreciate the position they are in. Do they realize or care that millions of youngsters around the world respect them for their achievements. Hope they are not taking for granted the respect showered on them. How do they want to be remembered, down the track.
Mahesh seems to have a point....but what stops him from partnering Bopanna for the Grand Slams and other tournaments? Walk the talk boss...if Bopanna is good enough for the Olympics, he should be good elsewhere too!
