58 lakhs per player just for one win
by peekay on Mar 10, 2008 12:18 PM  | Hide replies

Friends, just give 58000 per player for each win im sure the hockey players will show the results. The team which gets 58 Lakhs cash prize money/remuneration for each player just for a triangular series ( Only three nation tournament among 10 cricket playing nations) should always remain on the top of the world cricket heirarchy. Considering this fact where we stand today in cricket? Hockey Players who do not get even 1% of the money that cricketers get have at least reached the final of the olympic qualifying series, agreed that other countries were too weak.

why acnt we get out of our socialist mentality...BCCI's millions is not from the taxpayers but has been gotten thru samrt marketing moves....so waht hockey needs today is a Jagmohan Dalmia/Lalit Modi and most certainly not an autocratic senile old foggy to administer....it's such a shame!!!!!!

Sad Day for India at Hockey
by svh krishna kumar on Mar 10, 2008 12:16 PM

Its really sad to know that India is out of Olympics 2008 2 b held at Beijing. But India has really played well in all the league matches. This is were Indians need to hold their breath tight.Loosing that game which is critical for going thru is like a fish living without water. Its truly sad.Anyways now that we are out lets re-build the team and do things in more systematic manner and approach so that next time we do not flunk wen we really need to perform.Blame game is all there but v need to live with it.

LONG LIVE HOCKEY N CRICKET.Let encourage all the sports n give them equal importance. Now the sports minister has to look into and do all the work immly.
Lets hope all goes well for the preparation of the next olympics.
