Our Players need encouragement first, Infrastructure next. Just look at Serbians. There country is still under bombing. It was under bombing from past 50 years. But see how they have come up. Its only their people who motivates them. So What our players need is not infrastructure they need Encouragement. We need to encourage our players in tennis. I think except in cricket none of us encourage them. So guys please instead of cursing, cribling please encourage. Please watch tennis buy products endorsed by them. Make that game popular. Wite blogs, create awareness. Unless and until we dont do it, our nation will be left with playing cricket only. May be after 20 year there will be one country that will be playing cricket.
We all Indians have very cheap qualities. If Sania wasnt there at World Tennis, then we would have regretted that nobody is there to represent India. Now she is there, and some idiots are commenting about her dress rather looking at their mothers and sister's dress. If she looses then say she is loosing in 1st round, if she looses in 2nd then people will say she lost in 2nd round. I dont know what mental attitude we Indians have sitting there and commenting on others. If these idiots who are commenting on Sania Mirza's ability, let them go and play tennis and show the world that they are far better than her or train their mothers and sisters to play tennis better than sania. We will then watch what their mother and sister will wear for playing tennis and then others will comment on them. Idiots, stop talking or commenting and keep encouraging our sports persons in India.

What encouragement you look for? With a country of about a billion people we have one Sania. She is also an average player only. I am a good tennis player and have been following tennis very closely over the years. To be ranked in top30 is not all that great because if you play tournaments (and you get sponsored) where you get more ATP points for winning a first round or second round match, you can keep your ranking. It all boils down to whether you have sponsorship backing.
Sania is getting that kind of backing. In last 2 years her game is still the same. She talks big but her mental weakness is still there. she has not improved her basics at all. I am sure if it were somebody else by now they would have climbed into top ten.
The fact is that she is not putting in the hard work required. She is not showing that level of commitment.
I know a lot of people who write in these blogs hardly know about the tennis world, but as a keen and avid follower of tennis for the last 20 years, I can say with a lot of confidence that Sania has fallen well short of expectations.
