Zidane is no longer around, but they have some very good players starting with Karim Benzema and Thierry Henry. Pity that David Trezeguet couldn't make the squad though. That was the first major international soccer tournament I watched. I have been a fan of duch football since then. And thanx also for reminding the great generation of Dutch players like Gullit, Van basten and Rijkaard.... Although he came a bit later, you forgot mentioning Dennis Bergkamp - DB10...who played amazing football not only for holland but also for Arsenal for a long time.... But with their youth policies and the team that won the under-21 world cup last time, The Dutch are only going to get stronger in the next decade or so.... One also hopes that the fantastic club AJAX - also gets a revival and becomes a major force in the next couple of years...They too have a fantastic youth policy and have groomed some of the best players in the world.    Forward   |   Report abuse
