Really, she needs a mentor to perform good in olympic. And definately the perfect mentor-coatch will be the star of the month, who worked in a super duper flop movie kiss mat kar connection kar.

Akshay ne kareena ko chhoda, kareena ne shahid ko chhoda, ab agar isne tuze chhoda to tu kya karegi...... definately madhusudan kulkarni will be best choice for you forever...... because he is good mentor as well.

"Sania enters second round of.........; Sania defeated in the second round" a very usual headline in all newspapers. Can't she go beyond second round........ She must have some determination.

All the people who write about Sania's performance haven't achieved single useful thing in life and they question someone who until recently was ranked 30th in world..

C'mon guys just because she is not number 1 in world makes her waste .. she has achieved far compared to all useless people writing here .. including myself !

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU 100%. We havent ourselves achieved anything. We are not even famous in our colony or district or state also. But she has taken India's name to world level that too in WOMEN's TENNIS SINGLES. No player before her in 60 years of Independence till date has achieved this feat in Indian Women in Tennis. She is also first Indian to be in World Top 30 (her best rank being 28) in Women's Tennis and also to participate in all Grand Slams and also to qualify for OLYMPICS. Isnt that great ? We all MEN talk so much. But none of us (not even me) has Indian men have qualified for MEN's SINGLES for Olympics.

God Bless Sania Mirza. I am proud to be a INDIAN first and a Hyderabadi next. This girl has made my country and my city world famous in Tennis.

Raj, you are total crap. We are not famous as she is. Only illiterate people made her famous like this. If you push a boggie for the whole day and it didn't move at all, your work done is still big ZERO. What's the point in having rank 30 when she cannot win anything. Yes, if you are happy to give her this much glamor for ranking 30 then all of us are having no work. Media and people in India are in all illiterate and specially media is a money making business and they hype her so much. She is absolutely nothing when it comes to winning anything. Only tennis guys who did for India was Mahesh and Leander, they were world number one and won some grand slams. Sania is a total crap and she is earning money by fooling people.

Raj, she is the tennis player. She is supposed to perform in Tennis. Its stupid of you to compare her with everyone who is writing here. Can Sania Mirza write a piece of software code? No she can't but I am expected to do it and do it well because its my job. Its the same for her. If she claims to be an international level player then she has to improve from her current position.

There are about 25 thousand registerd tennis women players and she is ranked 30 among them in the world.
If u can understand. u can try to .

i dont see your point. she is ranked consistently in top 50 while you and i are one in million. May be sunil bhatia can say she is not successful enough. So, let us shut up and not pretend that we are in the same league.

Funding
by Raj on Jul 30, 2008 06:49 PM

Our other sports suffer because of lack of funding .. we need to bring in a system like UK. We should allow sports betting on cricket etc (it illegally happens anyway !!) and use that funding to bring up other sports like UK.

she is never a medal hope for india
by debarshi on Jul 30, 2008 05:57 PM

i just remember an article not many days back in rediff where she said she will do anything and everything to win a medal....now as the event is close by she is finding it more difficult...god when there a true champion will rise from india and shut this big mouth...she might have a chance in asian games but not in olympics...anyways she is not a medal hope, look out for the shooters and boxers this time...and in tennis may be mahesh and leader can pull up their socks and play like they used to play 5 years back, may be...

Olympic medal or no Olympic medal, the question is that you are playing there my child, that is what matters.
And with you is going the name of INDIA.
Keep the flag flying.
You are second to none.
Thete is no match of yours in whole of India.
Your participation in the games is enough.

Well said. Sania is an over-hyped tennis player who is capable of nothing. Let her concentrate on her T-shirts, nose rings and off course her bollywood career which I am sure is going to happen sooner rather than later. So, dont worry Sania, no one cares about your performance.

Anirban.... Atleast she is over hyped or whatever. But how many people even heard of you at state or even district or city level. I bet you cant even hold a tennis bat.

We all INCLUDING ME havent achieved anything man. Look what Sania has achieved. Lets give her due credit for that buddy.

SANIA MIRZA has taken India's name to world level that too in WOMEN's TENNIS SINGLES. But none of us (not even me) has Indian men have
qualified for MEN's SINGLES for Olympics.

By the way the OLYMPICS GAMES qualification depends on performance of a player or a team in any sport and points accumulated etc.. They dont qualify someone for Olympics on basis of hype. If that were the case...you Anirban would also be in Olympics on some flight now and not blogging here :-)

Its easier to talk. Difficult to do.Difficult to even play a stroke normally, moreso after wrist injury and surgery dear. So Relax buddy. Enjoy Roshogolla and Shondesh and watch all the Indians participate and cheer for them. Same applies to me also yar :-). We all can only talk about others. WE (even me) havent done anything for country till now.

The message you have posted here would have been more meaningful if you would have won a wimbledon title. Please let us know ur capablity. Actually u have no account to say tat u have proved. May be u would have become a father of a child by now. PLease learn to see the positive points in others. No indian women have occupied the 30 th rank till now. Every one have there own personal life. U have no rights to comment on that.

Seal Breaker,
Surly you can make use of better words.learn some manners and to address in public forum.
If not go back to school and buy your self a dictionery.
"PLEASE SHUT UP YOUR MOUTH"
One minute your are requesting by saying "PLEASE" and the next minute your are being abusive.
You could have easly said "Please stay silent"
That could have reflected better on your chracter.
Surly now you will abuse me.

Doesn't money drive u to do your job ?? Do you work for your country ? Moreover, she has mentioned that 'Olympics you feel MORE responsible for your country'. it means olympics brings in that extra motivating factor to perform.
