She lacks the allround game required in tennis so there is not much we can expect from her.

Sania is good example to demonstrate that only beauty and sex appeal can't bring success in ones life. Especially, in our country a girl of her looks and figure can easily get a head start but sure to loose on the road.

inconsistent.
by Bunty on Jul 30, 2008 10:37 AM

Earlier she said , she shall try to win gold for india.
now she is saying it is difficult to win any medal.
basically she wants to keep the expectations from her very low. so that any progress by her in olympics showld be welcome.

Loser!
by bharat on Jul 30, 2008 10:32 AM

Look at the frame of mind she's going in to play olympics. She's already lost before the games have begun! Sania has the game and can win more matches if backed by mental toughness and kill instinct. Instead of trying to get tough, she has waved the white flag!

This underlines the point which lot of people have said - Sania lacks the mental toughness of a winner! A loser all the way!

Feel proud when u win a medal
by Kamal on Jul 30, 2008 10:30 AM  | Hide replies

Ms Sania, we all are representing India one way or the other and its quite obvious that we all are proud of it, but to make Indians real proud, you need to win a medal by focussing on your game rather than being part of media. Its not a picnic girl. You can learn lessons from Leander who plays his heart out for India whenever he represents India.

Are you joking? Leander plays for himself and not for India. All the players are selfish

its not tough..... its impossible
by kameena on Jul 30, 2008 10:27 AM

i dont think it is tough to win a gold medal at beijing... buts its impossible for her to do so.... its so sad that the indian emerging sports person are concentrating more on how to make money than improving there game... u can have countless examples in india...... sania, irfan, mahesh, harbhajan, etc.... i will blame media as well for the downfall of the sports in our country.... they write too much and too early thus acting as distractors... and they comes our multimillion mncs... they want to cahs up when they are young and in media.... and they only will be the first ones to reject them when they are not performing.... i think government should step in and make sure that no body representing the country in a sports and below certain age be allowed to endorse above a limit.... goverment should also make sure that they do not let media distract them from their supreme work of trying to improves on their games.... once they are there at the top level then they can do watever they wish to....

Sania everyone knows that you are not that talented to win a medal in olympics. To cover that weekness you are giving such excuses. Why the hell you want to go there when you are not confident.Just waste of money.Give chance to others who dream of representing and contributing to national fame.
