Well he may be "matchless" on any surface - that is an opinion.

He will be 27 next month, Nadal turned 22 last month. That is a fact.

Head to head Fed's record is 6 wins and 12 losses versus Nadal. That is a fact.

Fed is 1 win and 2 losses versus Andy Murray! That too is a fact.

in your dreams pal. Roger will be lucky if he gets past Pete's tally of 14 grandslams, forgot abt 4 more that too in one year. only way for him now is downhill. He was da best until last year but no more. others finally caught up to him this year

u want to say that roger wont be winning any more majors....that's stupid thinking on your part...he may no longer be the immortal he was...but he will still win many majors and will be the best of all time....by the way i wud like to see who can stop him from winning hardcourts events...nadal..forget about winning hardcourts...he has not reached a semifinal in hardcourts....coz these surfaces are just too fast for even his speed and agility....and for others...roger will blow them away..

we'll soon c abt that. only have 2 wait a month or 2. And I never said Roger will not win any more majors. At best he will a couple more. Like I said others have caught up and surpassed him now.

It is immature on your part to say that Roger may not get 14 slams.
If anything it will(wimbledon loss) motivate him further.
The wimbledon final could have gone either way,
it was not one sided in Nadal's favour.
I quote Bjorn Borg who has predicted that Fedex may end up with 15 to 20 slams by the time he retires, my thinking is also on similar lines.

mr writer , u probably forgot 232 consecutive weeks means more than 4 years during which Mr Federer won more than 7 grandslams and Mr Nadal how many , this is not 1 years calculation , let nadal won 5 consecutive wimbledons, we will see

Its just a mental thing that Fed is having against Nadal..

If he overcomes it once, Nadal will be on the receiving end everytime.

and you dont hav to wait for Federer to win a French Open to decide he is the greatest. if you cant then i pity you.

You have to consider that Federer is age 27 next year and Nadal turned 22 last month.

At Nadal's age Fed had won one Grand Slam title.
Nadal has got 5.

Yes u are right about age, but at Federer's age(27) I doubt if Nadal could win 12 Grand slams.
Note that Nadal's game is highly physical in nature and therefore more prone to injuries and wear and tear. I am curious how long he could keep up his current form

what kind of fool's utopia do u belong to? First of all if sachin was a tennis player, his international carrer would have lasted 1.9 years (forget about 19 years). Even indain ace male tennis player of current era Leander Paes(career highest singles ranking in 80-90) is far ahead in fitness than the fittest indian cricketer ever(certainly not Sachin).

Winning and losing may be part of the game...but when it comes to the game fed is far better than nadal....this title is not won by nadal but lost by fed........he lost so many break points and everytime he gave a oppertunity to nadal from winning..........he was not at his best and even the climate spoiled...luck was more favoing nadal that day...any way we have a big in august end...US open...lets wait for a thrash of nadal........Sampras and fed r the best for tennis....

Rahul Prasad and siva kumar, both of you are so right!! Actually, Federer was feeling very compassionate and sorry for Nadal and, therefore, purposely let Nadal win. Surely, Federer did not really want to win a title for a sixth time, that which he had already got bored of winning five years running. Both of you should write to the Vatican to start proceedings for Federer to be anointed a saint!! Federer could have easily beaten Nadal with one hand tied behind his back but felt so sorry for Nadal that he let him win this one time !! Very accurate and objective reading of the event!!

listen.....i know u r a big nadal fan.....but let's be honest.....what fedex has achieved in his career, no one can achieve it....the guy won 8 out of the 10 slams ranging from 2005 wimbledon to 2007 us open...that's is some achivement...and by the way let's see what can nadal do at the hardcourts....remember the powerhouse tsonga gave him a real thrashing in the aus open.....that is what power players can do to him and his game on hardcourts......

Fedex is the best... But Nadal played great tennis in the Wimbledon 2008 final... He understood Federer's game very well and played accordingly... It takes a player like Nadal to beat Fedex...
