Best tennis will win
by Guest on Jul 06, 2008 12:14 PM

Anybody can win tomorrow. It all depends how they play as both has the capability to beat other. But I support Federer. May of the guys are simply supporting Nadal as he is young. Though, I belong to Indian youth, I must say we should not apply the same logic in tennis as we have for Indian cricket. We must accept the fact that age is not an issue till the time someone performs. Federer is older than Nadal but if he plays good tennis why shall we just support Nadal as he is young. If somebody has personal preference that is something else. Have we all forgot that Aggasi won his last Grand Slam at Australian Open at the age of 33. Why shall we just say always that only young must succeed. If we say so first we have to make sure young perform at top level as well. Getting quick bucks in IT and call center does not make young. As to be really successful everybody needs time. Only few like Sachin can be hero since age of 18. And come on guys, Federer is only 26. How many Indian young chap get a job at that age??? And he has won 12 Grand Slam.

The unpredictable English Weather has finally caught up with Wimbledon. It is raining heavily at present, with thunderstorms prdeicted in the evening and later in the night. Bad weather is also predicted over next three days.
We shall be lucky if the men's final is even startted on Sunday.

Its the final - Nadal will bring his A game....
by Ashish Kanekar on Jul 05, 2008 12:37 PM

... as usual. Remember last year he played (due to rain) wed, thur(rd 4), fri(QF), sat(SF) and still showed up on Sunday.

Nadal shots, serve everything will target Federer's backhand. That is all Nadal does against Federer. At Paris virtually every serve was at Fed bh.

So... the answer lies with Federer. Will his own serve pull him out as it has in the past and will his backhand stand the assault by Nadal.

Wimbledon'08 rocks!!

I guess we can do away with this unofficial "Who will win?" debate! I think all of us can sit back, relax and watch an absolute cracker of a match! Predictions dont hold any ground here... what with both players hungry to write history in their respective inks and styles ... yet again!! :) They are the two best players in world and each one is capable of overwhelming the other. So, lets jus hope our respective favorites win... and in all, be in awe of some breath-taking shot making! Wimbledon ROCKS!!!

if u r talking of confidence...then i tell u this...the confidence fed must have gained after beating safin must have given him tremendous confidence because safin was really playing well and every player knows that when he is playing well.....he is no match for anyone.

Grass, Clay
by Abhijit on Jul 05, 2008 10:15 AM

In Clay there seems to be enough time to reach for the ball, for Nadal with all his physical fitness its quite possible.

In Grass one should have all his shots on target, and good technique too. Federer good for that. Am I correct?

Romp in to final ?
by ravi bulusu on Jul 05, 2008 10:00 AM  | Hide replies

Players/athletes romp home, for the finish at the tape in races, marathons. Not for final match appearance.More suitable would be storm in to the finals.
