At the age of 20,both Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic have made it to the top 10, playing the Australian Open finals;whereas sania is still struggling!Even those players are equally 'glamorous', but they also focus on the game. For them Tennis is the priority now and not endorsements and publicity, which anyway comes to them cos of their on-court display of talents. We Indians are so devoid of such people that reaching 29th rank is a great achievement for the 110 billions of us! Sania is treated as a demi-Goddess and Govts give away freebies for these people.Till such time we keep boasting of Mediocrity, true achievement will not comeby easily.I am sure, many in this forum will start abusing me for this observation, but truth is always harsh!

u r also one in 110 billion ( or 1.1 billion ???) and what is ur position ? R u No. 1 in the world ...... There can be only 10 persons in the Top 10 list ... so a a maximum 10 countries can boast abt it .... India is not in this 10 countries. We r anyway in 30 counry list ..... which is not bad !!!

What great achievment you have dome Mr/Mrs. sri sri. May be you have produced some kids by this time adding 1/2 to the 110 indian population. if you think that as big achievement then you are wrong.
Now that she has reached top in Asia, it's time for her to quit, because she and everyone knows that her capacity is to go only upto 3rd or 4th round and lose in any grandslam. It is time for her to get married or try her luck in Bollywood.

Mr. Daruwala, First of all I congratuate Sania for her achievement to be number one Asian women tenis player. I am quite astonished to note your conservative opinion about Sania. It is not an easy task to come up 3 or 4 round which can come from her hard work and determination. We,Indian should be proud of her achievement and very well she should play another 5 years it is only her 21 age no way of quitting the game. Thank you.
