And it should be fun for us to watch close-knit contests in the future.

Dont overlook Tipsarevic. He was unfortunate to meet Federer early. Else who know...he migh have played a semis match.

Federer is only next to Samprass.

Its just one match failure..and its not the last.

My freind, legends are ot made in one match!!!

Nadal is such a nice player, but still not good enough out of clay court. And Tsonga just has one match to his credit!! We have seen lots of such flash in the pan cases before, but all failed to deliver or had at the most one or two grand slams to their name. Look at Federer, thats what genoius is, thats what domination is. I think he will compensate his AO loss by winning French Open!!!

A huge gap still.....

I think there's still a huge gap between Federer and the rest of the tennis fraternity. Just have a look at the matches against Tipsarevic and today's vs Djokovic. He was well below par his usual dominating self, with so many forehand errors. But still, he managed to compete so hard. He did win against Tipsarevic the other night but came out on the wrong side today. Djokovic still had to play his best tennis to beat a struggling Fed-ex. Thus, it's pretty obvious that the tennis world has a lot of catching up to do, but still quite a lot of promise.....

Absolutely Correct. I agree u with the statement 'Djokovic still had to play his best tennis to beat a struggling Fed-ex'. Fed-ex is best :)
