Everybody is getting fooled by the photographer%u2019s trick. Look at the angle and the distance the small table flag that is quiet a distance away. Sports person would always want to keep their legs stretched for obvious reasons of fatigue and strain on thigh muscles when they are tired. Being a retired sports person I understand that very well. You might have seen in the live telecast all cricketers stretching their legs on the front seat.
If some body who has to apologies in this episode it is the criminal photographer who has fooled 1.1 billion population of India, the editor of the news papers, the foolish people who have filed the case against her and the judge who has admitted the case.
But not Sania. Otherwise it would be advisable to all sports persons (Sania in particular) should first see that flag of India removed from her vicinity and then concentrate on her game later.
Sania is in a place that none of us are. She's achieved all that you may have dreamt off as a kid wanting to be a sportsman or sportswoman. Yes, we all dream of being the best and winning it all, but guess what, she's the closest to making that dream somewhat of a relaity with every victory. Inspite of all the problems that some of her compatriots(pseudo in my view) have posed her, she has stuck to doing what she does best, which is play solid tennis. Well, I am still trying to think of any other Indian woman who has achieved as much as her in this field. And to address her severe critics, if you think she's not doing her job, why don't you pick up a tennis racket and start playing. Since it looks so easy, you should be able to become the number 1 player in the world too.
I lost respect and regard for Sania..I do not care if she wins or looses.. this is because when the masjid people critisized her for doing a shoot inside the masjid , she immediately offered apologies... But she never apologized for putting her feet at the Indian flag... This shows that she is muslim first and then indian... pathetic...

her feet were not even close to the indian flag.. she was resting her feet at a table and she would have done so, even i do so without realizing that there is a book on that table sometimes.. and i respect my books more than i respect most people. So i guess these things happen and its unfair to say she doesn't respect the flag or the country. Its just some ppl who love to create a stir just for publicity. In my view, these fakers are nothing short of being streakers in the middle of a sporting event!

I agree,we all know what camera angles can do to a person. She did not in any way want to insult the Indian flag but some people can't realise this and go on blabbering. I think she is a true blue Indian and she is flying the national flag high in international circles. Way to go Sania....
