....And we will keep blaming, order an enquiry, pass the case to the CBI or vigilance, shout in the parliament and by the time the issue is examined, the athletes affected would have either retired from sports or from life.

Meanwhile, let us continue with our india shining campaign or image building excercise without cleaning the muck in our backyard.

it is like a person wo does not have a bath for weeks but suddenly gets into suite and come out wearing a tie.

This really stinks....!!!

... why Chinese gets so many Gold in Olympics while India returns with 250 "strong" contingent athletes, 475 Officials (and their families) and nothing else in terms of medals.

No shuttlecocks??
by Virendra Singh on Feb 07, 2008 08:03 AM

Oh great and we are host to upcoming Commonwealth Games. Our sport ministries make sure that India stays in lime-light of world's sport media even without winning a tournament or medal.

Only in India

Some of those sarkari babu's should be fired. How can the Badminton Association of India not have money for something as basic as this? Why are they playing the blame game? Some of the top guys in Badminton Association of India should be laid off, that will save them money. Heck line up some sponsors to pay for the shuttle cocks ? What the heck are these guys doing? That's what happens when politicians or thier cronies run these organizations

This can happen only in India, those sarkari babu's should be fired. WTF Badminton Association of India does not have the budjet for shuttlecocks? There should be some layoff's in that org that will pay for it.Stop the blame game and show some leadership, its their responsibility to make it happen. Heck get some sponsors to pay the bill for it, these d1ckheads would not know how to do that

The Media should rip them off.

The Media should also take part in this, by exposing the guys who are so lazy, adamant and careless in getting the stuff for the players.. What is happening in India no one knows.. what is happening to the funds? may be not enough for the fellas to fill up their bank accounts..

I totally agree with you. But the media is not any different. They report news that sells and news about badminton will not sell in India unlike cricket, films, petty politics and hocus pocus of all kinds (thats what all the hindi news channels do).
