As of now, no one is threatening her to stop playing. Why is she worried about street dogs barking and losing her focus on game ? Simply put, everyone knows for sure that she will be out in the 2nd or 3rd round. Even Sania knows that.. To avoid embarassment of failure in homeground, she is using the pretext of earlier controversies as a boon to escape. She is afraid of failure and doesn't have the sportive spirit. Bollywood can offer you lots of glory and fame Sania.. Why dont you try your luck there.
Tushar, It is not you who made her star. It is her dedication, hard work poured from past many years, sacrifice of her childhood days spent on court in practicing, support & sacrifice of her parents - made her a star.
If you are a sports person you will understand how much effort is required even to represent state, let alone the country and stand First in Asia & 29th in world.

You seems to be die hard fan of Sania.You have not understood what I meant.Had she been top ranker at International level and done this then may be acceptable but presently who she is she thinks.Even you seems to have wrong thoughts too.The sacrifies and all for what ? Dear tushar,
if you had put 1/100th the dedication in your english as she has in her tennis, your post would not have sounded so ridiculous. This is the beauty of democracy - everyone can cast a stone.
Another thing, please try working on your logic also, why is it ok for a top ranker to "not play" but not for a 29th ranker?

Thanks for being so personal.Conceded.You are right.Sania is right.No logic required for person like you okay.I started with not giving importance to such great players any more.I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings.By the way you must be some sports person playing some game that you are asking or expecting others to be.
i do not understand why sania has taken such an extreme step?? i know everyone says that she is dogged by controversies, etc.. but the point is she was alleged to have disrespected the national flag at the Hopman Cup.. But that was in Perth. What does it have to do with matches in India?? The problem with all our stars be it cricketers, tennis stars like sania or movie stars, they tend to treat the Indian public like trash.. but when these same people go abroad they are really nice to the foreigners.. they forget that their stardom is a result of the adulation of indians like us who spend sleepless nights and days supporting such stars.. such hypocrites these stars are that it makes u feel really sad as an Indian supporter.
Well i think you have done a right thing by not playing Blore Open. It is an ATP tourn. Play your game , Earn lot of money and give back to the people n county which gave you so much... Then all the same guys will praise you...we are Indians...

Sania ur just a average player and u have a lot to prove , dont get your head too big in fact you have not even entered the QF of any int tournament so try to focus ont he game rather than other things , it is the media through which you gained this popularity and its bound to have controversy as well. Keep your mind focussed on the game first , your not a setffi graph to take such decisions First win a title then talk .

Because of her decline to participation in Bangalore Tournament she should not be selected for future indian representation. After becoming Asia # 1 position she afraid of her downgrading if she will beaten by Serena or Venus. Also she don't want to represent India in India then why should be selected for abroad.

How stupid, Blore open is not an tournament in which a player is represented by based on her country standing. OK. Here Sarena or Venus are not playing for USA they are playing for herself. Please try to understand and be cool Sania doesnt want to play a tournament not , if she disagrees to play Hoppman cup then i think you guys should CRY like this.
I fully support decision of Sania.One must have Guts to take such courageous decision.One has his/her own way of taking the things. every time there is under performance from a sports person, people find some or the other way of harrasing them! weather it is Sania,Tendulkar,Dravid,or from any other sports.

Everyone in the country has their own way to oppose you. some issue fatwa some file PIL and some take out protest. Its time you should let them know that you too do not appreciate people making mound out of mole
This is not about country or her criticizers.Dispute over her appearance money led to drop out of the tourny.They refused to pay 1 lakh dollars this year as her image is swinging upside down in the country.So she is expecting an image-makeover and lesson for tourny sponsors.

I think some relative of you guys mite be conducting Blore open, who gave you give this news. Chill out guys, have any of you played any game at district or State level. Guys let her play her game and solve her probs.
