Amen to that Mr loan shark :)... hypocrisy at its best in the indian media... if she werent playing tennis but was in bollywood and took it off then the same media would plaster her pics all over and praise her for being sexy.

Indian media? Or Mullahs? Whenw as she ever criticized by the indian media her for her attire? You should probably ask the mullahs about their hypocrisy in denouncing Sania's outfit while staying mum in zeenat, sonam, parveen etc's case.

People like you will never make India proud but always put in the shame. It is bad luck of your mother who gave you birth on this earth
Vijay and Anand Amritraj declared in 1974 that they would never play for India again because Govt. Policy prvented them from Playing the Davis Cup Finals aginst South Africa. That was on a policy matter and had nothing to do withpersonal harrassment In Sania's case the harrassment is personal and disturbs her focus on the game. Her dress, her advertising -shooting, her posture while rlaxing, are all grist for controversy. How do we expect her to play well while so disturbed? Any amateur can click the Flag-insult photo by picking an angle. Photgraphs can falsify the truth. And this MP lawyer seems to have no better work than filing a case against a national icon. I wish he could do something for the Bhopal Gas-Victims. Sania has become a top-30 player. No Indian woman has done that, Indian men struggle to qualify for grand Slam events. Sania matches Venus Williams stroke for stroke. Instead of taking pride in her achievement India gives her harrassment as a reward. No wonder she isn't playing in Bangalore. Her protest must be understood, and the MP Court must dismiss the frivolous case. No one should be allowed to comment on her endosement activities. What sort of a country are we if Jesudas can not enter a temple but can sing the most devotional Carnatic Music, and MF Hussain can not paint 'nude' goddesses while Tantrics can perform Vanaachaara practices with Mithuna as a central ritual, Teachers can gang-rape a girl student, but a girl can not dress fashionabl

dude.. you started off writing well and asking the right questions and in the end suddenly jumped off the cliff... your last line is completely irrelevant here.. if some teachers committed a crime of gang rape, they need to be sent to the gallows... you are suggesting that we let it happen voluntarily... well said about he MP lawyer though... why doesnt he fight the case of at least one Bhopal Gas victim... irresponsible publicity seeking scum he is.. anyways chill man!

Ranjan- Where did you get that information about the Amritraj's decision to never play for India again in the wake of the 1974 Davis Cup boycott?
New York Times quotes Vijay as saying that it (the boycott) was "unquestionably the right decision".

BBC World Service, Sports Round Up(Christopher Martin-Jenkins, John Ted-Marsh et. al), 1745 GMT, soon after India decided to boycott the Finals. I was a a staunch fan of the Amritraj brothers and actually believed that we could win the title against SA (Cliff Drysdale, Bob Hewitt, Frew MacMillan). Always sat up for the Sports Round Up at 11.15 pm. Later Vijay retracted the statement and played on for India with distinction.

"a girl cannot dress fashionable" is a problem created by people from her own community. what sense does it make to demonize the entire country for that?
She might as well pack her bags and leave for another country, but how does that save her from fatwas and fundamentalists in her religion. Or is it that muslims in whatever country she adopts as her own would be less fundamentalist as compared to those in India? If yes, then good for her. If no, the should one also suggest that she renounce her religion as well?
this is another ploy to avoid getting ashamed of repeated failures anyway nobody is bigger than country and you simply cannot sit showing legs to national flag, even if you had been to kargil war

How many Indian women, or for that matter, men, reach beyond the qualifying rounds? Just imagine , she is world 29 with 3rd round losses, if she went to quartefinals, she'd be doing more than you can hope to dream throughout your life. When was the last time any Indian, male or female, reached the third round of a Grand Slam in the singles?

WE can be proud of Sania for achieving such heights, but should be ashamed of our selved that even being such a big nation, we are not able to produce champions in any game except ckt.
