TO Vijinder Bhai and other all boxers.Salute to all of u from Indian Community in China for keeping our name and countrys name and for keep flying our Flag..Jai Hind... Arun Verma worldtrade17@yahoo.com
I, along with many or most true Indians (by heart), salute you.
I am really sorry for the Indian Govt (or Sports Ministry or IOC or whatever name you call it) which doesn't care for any sportsman or sportswoman except useless Cricketers.
We are all proud of your Bronze, which is worth more than Gold medal (your sheer hard work, talent, etc.)
you do not have to say sry man.We r sry that we did not recognise our own hero in right time and did not give the proper care. What to do, this is the truth in our country for the sports men other than cricket.Hope now onwards our people and the Gov., will take care.I am not sure, may be everybody will forget everything after one month and so it continues......you did it man...you did it...i have sen the facilities that u have for ur practice..u all are the champions.we r proud of u people...

Is it my duty Mr. Raj ????They are representing the whole country on the platform of sport and you know what i mean say.Mab be u heard about our sports minister asking Gopichand that who r u man ??That is status of our sports in national level.
instead of ranting and pointing to flaws in the nation, lets all donate Rs. 100 towards a athletes/sports foundation in india for future budding olympians, lets create a private nationally owned association

do you think that there is no money for sports?Olympic federation, sports minister, state authorities all have money. They are not willing to utilze in a proper way. All can donate as you mentioned but who will govern that? Againg you will be back to square one.

We are already donating as taxes! Ask ur MLA/MP to build a sports complex in ur place. Tell him that he wont get votes next time if he doesnt. Use ur votes... not notes. you 10 ppl(on compulsion) donating 1000Rs and eating Biriyani n that money wont work.

there is no point arguing or fighting with the govt. we have to do this privately and manage it privately. this has nothing to do with who pays what taxes and how they get utilized!! everybody knows about corruption in india, the point is noone wants to circumvent that and act in a positive way despite the corruption, imagine what a slap that will be on the face of indian politics when citizens of india ALONE take credit for sponsoring medalists, it will be a democratic victory and achievement despite odds
Congrats to Coach Gurbax Singh Sandhu and his 3 heros, its indeed a great performance.Performance of these 3 and also the wrestler are awesome, this perfomance is more then winning the golds looking at the facilities these are getting from our govt.I felt bad when I see in IBN the facilities these guys are getting for their practice from govt.
Whats there targetting 10% GDP growth? Govt please spent some to nurture the qualties of these champions.
Vijender We all are proud of you. Well done.We hope to see better days in boxing in cming future..and really u have set the plateform for others....Once Again Proud of u

well done,
It doesn't matter you won or lost, the whole thing is that you didn't give up easily, you struggled and you have really a good spirit for the game. Wishing for a better future, go ahead. congratulation...........
Great Achievement by vijender.. But i'm sure everyone will forget him within 2 months and support to practice better will also stop and Vijender will have to go back to the same old rags where he learnt his boxing under a coach who teaches another 199 students. This year we got medals not because of IOC or government but because of Individual talent. neither abhinav or sushil or Vijender none of them got good training nor any support from IOC or government, as are hundreds of others. IOC should not celebrate. Every god damn politician stood beside abhinav to take a photo as if they want to say " see i was the one who helped him get the medal" This post won't make any darn difference but atleast i can vent my anger

I too believe atleast he tried its best . I found technically Cuban Boxer was more strong. Its not the problem of Vijender because I.O.A is not Proiding Services which can match the International Standart I believes Vijender just done a great Job so Hats off from my side . Vijender U really played well
I feel correa was very defensive in the 4th round because of which Vijendar couldn't bounce back. Nevertheless, Kudos to Vijendar for bringing home a medal.
