look at most indian cities - super branded apartments, outside these houses shit roads...super glass offices outside these offices dust and potholed roads...indians will take forver to reach the status of the chinese...or europeans..or japanese..or americans...or even south americans...indians are good at one thing - talking talking talking..they will talk bullshit till death...they can win platinum medal for this art....i even think commonwealth hosting should be taken away from indians as a sign of their poor performance in olympics..

Raj Thakrey has nothing to do with it. This Commonwealth games etc is the responsibility of Mr Kalmadi a Congress person. And u know where the money is diverted by the Congress in view of 22 July activities at our Parliament.And u may also like to know how Business of Mr kalmadi is flourishing after he has taken over the post in IOC.Has he ever told about what achievements hav come out of so much investments made by the Govt thru IOC?

India should lobby to get kabaddi and kho-kho in olymics. We will be assured of gold medals at least in the year of their introduction before other countries learn the game and start out playing us (like in hockey).

Actually, we do play kabaddi and kho-kho in asian games and have been facing defeats in those games (not as frequently as olympics though) as well by neighboring nations. As far as I have heard.......

they fed off rathore's silver for 4 years now they will do same for bindra's gold medal..fact is that these people have won due to their own private support nothing to do with the government...its a shame indian govt can't produce any reasonable winners of medals even when they participate in so many events..sports ministry should be dissolved..it was embarassing to watch the 10,000 m indian athlete finish almost last in her event.

This Indian Govt. has the aim of dividing the Indian Sociaty by formulating the policies and enacting the laws which dicriminate the people on the basis of religion,caste and gender,giving concessions to one and denying others.If the UPA succeeds in the next election and forms the Govt.They will select the players for the next Olympics on the basis of quota system.MERA DESH MAHAN !

You are being pessimistic. We would live off it for 4 years probably but the SAI and IOC officials will live off it for the next 40 years. LOL
too many gold medals for swimmers, which i find unnecessary at Olympic. Hokey, basketball, other team event put same effort to get one final gold. 5 gold medal for men relay and 5 gold medal for woman. If one swimmer is top of all, there is always chance to win most of them medal. That what happen here. What he is done is great achievement, I can't deny that. He must have worked hard in life to reach this level. Also, if one country good at swimming, there is always chance to win more medal. It is unfair to other sports except gymnastic.

the highest sporting competition for gymnastics is the Olympics.. and its almost the case for swimming too.. hockey and football and in fact all team sports have one world cup or the other to play for... in fact i support linford christie when he says team sports should be totally done away with in the olympics

Just saw it..Cavic is the one on the left with the suit and he was reaching with his hands stretched (you can see that in the picture) while phelps on the right without the suit reached on his hand stroke.

great, yes, but more deserving ? no. if they touched at the same time then they should share. why should phelps get one more smply because he won 6 more medals ? also, since he's won so many why not let the other chap win ?
