Look they are chasing and fighting for gold. (Generally its oil)
Phelps has 7 and still trying for more
Indians are a satisfied lot We have one and that would be enough for more than billion people. If we need more we buy it (80% of world's gold we do buy)

As for people who have attempted to give you an advice, they did not get your sophisticated joke!... Please discount them completely. Keep bringing more... Atleast you can be our Gold Medal hope is there was an event on Satire in London Olympics 2012 :-)

too many gold medals for swimmers, which i find unnecessary at Olympic. Hokey, basketball, other team event put same effort to get one final gold. 5 gold medal for men relay and 5 gold medal for woman. If one swimmer is top of all, there is always chance to win most of them medal. That what happen here. What he is done is great achievement, I can't deny that. He must have worked hard in life to reach this level. Also, if one country good at swimming, there is always chance to win more medal. It is unfair to other sports except gymnastic

You are right. Even in other sports events like badminton, TT, Tennis, you have to play for 5 to 6 days & then can only win a medal. But in swimming, gymnastics like these, there are medals on every day. How can a badminton or TT player ever win 7 golds in a single olympic?

instead of appreciating the greatness in this champion and advising your countrymen to take his example and place our country;s image at the helm of sports achievement, you have just taken the other way of preaching greed. Shame on you and your comments.

If they are greedy about gold medals, this is one thing that Indians should try to learn from them and not even the die hard commies can complain if the sportsmen of a country get greedy about winning gold medals in the olympic games!

its not the matter of greedy or something else it's the matter of competition and pride. which we are lacking at least in sports. we should be like usa or china that never satisfy with which we get but try to get as much as you can, as in the case of sports.

our young generation is running after money, and individualy they dont compete nor they are worried about pride. they want to be rich, famous and powerful at the same time. the olympic medals requires very hard training and talent, talent we have but no hard work. our young breed watches 2 much TV and movies and worried about new cricket stars. well thats emotions which we have in tons and which can be easily motivated to fight for nothing.
