Criticism
by Nagesh Bhagwat on Aug 14, 2008 11:11 AM  | Hide replies

Assuming that Abhinav had not won the Gold, would we all have criticized the others as vehemently as we are doing now?

Honest replies please

Is desh main Bolywood, cricket, tuchi politics aur andhwishwashi regligious cults ke alawa kuch aur nazar nahin aata.

She did not come last. She needs your love and support, not your criticism. She tried her best, though she was only 50% fit. she was on painkillers.

Can you not understand these things, you inconsiderate Tamilian

Anjali & Sania Mirza
by shaun trait on Aug 14, 2008 11:04 AM  | Hide replies

Anjali & Sania Mirza are picked on basis of only glamour not performance and the result are in fornt of u all. If we are given chance to participate we are sure that we will definately not win medal but also not bluff like anjali claminging her good chance to win medal and wasting govt money.

Thats false, is their anyone else to beat them in India. They are Number 1 of India. In addition to their sporting talent they are good looking. It unfair to pick on their good looks.

please do not compare with indians.we al know what are the standards of our sportmen compared to our counterparts in the world.
Of course their govts too help by providing good infrastuctures etc.
Yopu ar right when u say //it is unfair to pick them based on their looks//pick them on merit//
When sanis herself was not fully fit she should not have represented the country.Abt anjali the less said the better..
She is mere tourist rather then a acheiver..

It has been reported that the Indian women athletes have been given a wild card to participate in the beach volleyball tournament.

Sania, Anjali make up one team, while Bombayla and Anju will be in the other team.

Wishing them all the best

Anjali...most overated shooter in the planet
by sandeep kumar on Aug 14, 2008 10:58 AM  | Hide replies

I saw her interview and she was smiling and talking about beijing beauty. She has no seriousness, and the govt has given all facilities. and also khel ratna in 2004. While people are jumping to criticise sania eeven though she gave 100 percent after injury, anjali has been pampered. And age 35 plus, she should retire

Enough of passengers masquerading as players ! Send a minimum contingent if we can not win more medals. Sport system in India , not withstanding, Abhinav could win due to his own dedication and hard work.Every one is happy that at least one medal is won. What a shame!

well said. Anjali and Anju Bobby George are two highly overrated players of our country. But I think even Sania was not serious for olympic. Saina was good

Now onward, please give news of any good performance only.
by parvinder on Aug 14, 2008 10:57 AM

We know nobdy is there in India to give a good performance except in big interviews, Media and while taking donation from public/govt. So Rediff & other Media should report only good performances .. rest we know what will happend to these guys .. poor, poor and out.
