by varun on Aug 07, 2008 04:59 PM  | Hide replies

To bring equality across the world, there should be a quota system in sports for countries like India for next one century atleast!!where are our leaders Mayavathi and Arjun singh? some one must bring this issue to them!

Let all media howl for same. In India, media makes a star, as they have made to sania. In all developed countries, such ranking players are available dime a dozen.

anyway
by Balaji Parthasarathy on Aug 07, 2008 04:54 PM

anyways she ll have to meet venus or saturn at some point..
Look at how narrow our attitudes are.. if sania clears 3 rounds we are happy.. least bothered if we ever have a chance to win a medal.. Even if she clears the 3 rd round .. we wud have sms poll.. some feminist saying that she s the role model.. else every one dumps .. no discussion till the next london olympics

Do not worry Sania. There are many more Olympics ahead. Not only that even if you lost you have a wonderful excuse. You can say this is Chinese game plan.

tough match!! expecting an easy match in Olympics
by Guest on Aug 07, 2008 04:48 PM

by the way, do we expect an easy merry round contest in a competition like Olympics, she has to come through the tough ones to really have a go for the medals.

Doesn't matter !

It really does'nt matter whether she gets a tough draw or an easy draw. The result would be the same : Either a 1st round or a 2nd round exit followed by shopping spree in Bejing followed by shooting for a commercial followed by dinner date with Shahid followed by.........

a former 28 rank holder vs. current 56 is not a tough deal by any standards.

whether S will win the match or not is a different issue!
