Our country is a total failure in any sports at world level be it hockey or football or whatever. Only fit for bollywood movies or cricket which is a non olympic sport and only 8-9 countries play in it. Parliament should pass a bill and declare that India is a failed country in any sports so we should dismantle all the stadiums or grounds and utilise that space for making religious places or ashrams make marriage halls or more multiplex.

how much have u contributed for this sport? Dont blame your own country men for atleast trying something out in open when all you can do is sit and criticize them. Pick up a hockey stick, join the local team and win a match. Only then talk sports!!
Checked the population of Netherlands Antilles, which is a group of islands in the carribean. It is 1.85 lakhs which is less than any small town in India. Even they beat a country of 1 billion. Better stop playing hockey.
Whats shocking about losing to Holland?They are a very good side.Plus, Rediff should not discriminate.When the Men's side can lose to anyone they like, the ladies should also be allowed that liberty.As far as Hockey being the national game - we all know why it was made the national game.Only India & Pakistan played the game & we were always assured of at least a Silver Medal at the Olympics - Till the Europeans started playing.Why have a National Game at all - especially when you are not good at any?
