Yep... a real senseless review.. more of some sort of emotional one that anything else... agreed that hamilton has gone to the extend of writing an autobiography even before he had finished a season in F1, but he was almost a rookie champ in 2007. Fisichella can never challenge Hamilton... even with a more powerful ferrari powerplant.

with respect to the "pressing a silly button" thing.. even great drivers like Mansell has done such mistakes while leading a race in the last lap.. so the unnecessarily long article about a team not related to any nation is pointless... i'd agree if u write about team India in A1GP.. This is Mr.Mallya's cash earning team, and a pity he called it by the nation's name. Ofcourse since he has cash and also ferrari engines, considering the ferrari-favourism of FIA, he might just turn lucky.. its all getting commercialized.. but nothing against Mr.Mallya.. he is doing some real daring stuff.. lets see if he can stay longer when many works teams have quit F1 after becoming bankrupt! :)))

I don think Mallya shouldve used "India" to name his Formula 1 team. No other F1 team is name after any country.
Would like to know opinions of F1 fans on this.

Why should anyone avoid India in F1 or any sport. There are lots of stupid and ignorant foreigners who don`t know what is or where is INDIA.It is good thru that sport like F1 ,at least in Indian name is promoted as it is watch by millions of people across world .I am happy about it.

I agree with you - there is nothing Indian about the Kingfisher team. He could have stuck to his core brand and called the team 'Kingfisher' and pumped in money for entering F1. However, we do not know the objectives behind Mallya's entry into this.

He's included the "India" in the team name to help attract more interest in the country.

My only objection - This team is destined for the F1 back benches. Would rather have had "India" in a team that at least had some chance...

Force India, who?
by Vipul on Apr 07, 2008 04:51 PM  | Hide replies

Good PR article for Mr. Mallya's views. But sad that you wrote such a boring article; I lasted through the entire length of it by sheer determination. If you do not understand F1, you are forgiven but please do not write LLUB TIHS. Was at the venue yesterday and was savouring the Ferrari superiority till I read your article. For God's sake, please spare us. Thanks in anticipation

Forgot to add: Why are we celebrating finishing 12th and not 13th? Because, 13 is an unlucky number??? Preposterous article. Raja, have you seen how Lewis Hamilton behaves with the crowd, not just his fans? He is the only regular driver who signed autographs at the venue yesterday. All the other teams sent reserve drivers/technicians. FYI, Sir Raja

Here we go again. raja, i thought at least you would have more patience. we as a nation are afflicted by this premature exultation syndrome. sachin tendulkar (when has he ever delivered in crunch situations?), sania mirza, those overhyped women shooters, jeev milkha singh...let them prove they can win it for india, then raise the toast. we raise them to demigod status if they just about make a mark internationally, they bask in the glory, hang in there long enough and fade away. there is only one exception to this rule, we do have a true world champion, but chess is not such a glam sport, is it?
