Actually I am a better player than federer but I never won anything even in my school. But this does not stop me from claiming myself as a better player and I expect an interview call from rediff

I feel its a bit exaggeration and arrogance to say Anand was better than Borg(won eleven grandslams including five wimbledons in a row)and Connors (8 grandslams). Borg and Connors are considered as legends in international tennis. They have won so many grandslams and stood out among so many talented players of their era. But this doesnt mean Anand is any less talented. Amritraj brothers are a name to reckon with but on par with Borg and Connors. With all due respect to Anand and Vijay from the bottom of my heart...

He never said Anand was better than Borg and Connors. He said Vijay had beaten them individually many times, but could not maintain that spree over a WEEK in Grand Slams. That is fair enough.Even Vijay is a Modest guy and never has claimed himself to be the Greatest. But VIJAY certainly was one of India's MOST Talented Tennis Player after R.Krishnan.

Mr. Kraft, Read again the article which say "Vijay has beaten Borg, Connors and McEnroe many times. He was as good, or even better than Borg and Connors."

Compared to the achievements of Ramanathan Krishnan,Vijay and his brother the present generation [like Paes,Sania, etc.] have not done much though they get good Publicity and Money.

Ramesh Krishnan was the best spinner of the tennis ball. His opponents used to confuse the game to be table tennis.Although not succesful he was huge entertainment for his peculiar slow spinning style of tennis.
Borg - 11 Grand Slam Wins, World Number 1 for 109 combined weeks Connors - 8 Grand Slam Wins, World Number 1 for 160 consecutive weeks, 270 combined weeks!! McEnroe - 7 Grand Slam Wins, World Number 1 for 170 combined weeks Vijay - 0 GS Wins. Finals - 0. Semi-Finals - 0. Highest Ranking achieved - 16.
