It's brilliant that indian hockey team is doing great and improving alot without being given any attention and glamour which is overshadowed due to cricket. IT's the right time where we should be encouraging our national game alot... finally CHAK DE PHATTE.

errr....the India MENS hockey team which won 8 olympic golds from 1940-60s, probably the best hockey team ever......no other national team has won 8 olympic golds in hockey.

Indian cricket???? pl don't be stupid. Wht we'd achieved in cricket after kapil's devil's worldcup win. U must remember the fact tht once we were the top nations in Hockey, and now we are way behind i admit. but this cud happen to any sport if not taken seriously. The same is gonna happen to cricket too. Ofcourse Cricket has the glamour, but if more sponsors are there and more TV coverages with superb wins from our team the national sport is gonna rock us all over again... Chak DE India
Strange why Booollywood didn't make a film of the India MENS hockey team which won 8 olympic golds from 1940-60s, probably the best hockey team ever.......but made a film about one Charrukh guy waltzing around grass with 17 women in a stadium in Australia.
movies & actors never made any country great - america is No.1 due to its scientists - 270 nobel prizes, enterprenuers - 300 largest corporations, sportsmen - 2400 olympic medals.
hollywood can vanish, america will still be No.1, but if the sientists, enterprenuers & sportsmen go america will be zero.

ahhh....the olympics is looming.....will the India mens hockey team win the gold and add to the glory ?
the chinese have vowed to overtake america in olympic gold medal tally after coming in 2nd in 2004. america cant allow that......one of the 3 pedestals of american super-powerdom (science, economy, sports) will chopped off if china overtakes america in sports, no way!.....interesting times ahead next year!
