Football was the only sport left where you were a sporting world power. Guess even this is also going away from you. Sad luck but you got to understand that competition is getting tougher these days.
During the last European championship in 2004 group phase England dashed hopes of Croatia for quarter final berth by beating them 4-2 with brace 4rm Rooney,this time English hopes of qualifying were dented by Croatia who beat them home 2-0 and away 3-2.
It not at all surprising that England did not qualify. The British media & its people have created a bunch of very ordinary players as greats. Look at history of English Football. Are the English players are worldclass players. It is all the hype created by british media during all major tounaments & qualifiying matches that English team is world champions & only they can win the championship. 1 Other than 1966 world cup did they reached any world cup finals. (On England winning the world cup in 1966 asked Germans it view) 2 How many european championship they have won 3 How many times did England played in Europion Championship finals 4 What is England record in appraring for world cup. Did they qualify for 1994 world cup
The realities are, not cannot qualifying for European championship & also world cup the English football is very ordinary
I see comments made on England teams performance..Who is interested? Can anyone of u name 5 players in Indian football? We neglect our own sports and blame govt. India is playing pak and the boys need full support..Lets cheer Indains always, rather than staying late nite to watch some boring league match

boring league match, i never heard such a stupid comment. you a really stupid fellow, dont know any thing about games and football. Yes, India playing pak in cricket, for 5 days and result likely to be any thing, depends on the amount od bet and not on players perfomances. if you dont know football keep away and dont make comment as boring league match. Football is viewed more than 200 countires in the world, wheras cricket played only in 10 or 15 countries in the owrld and most are former english colonies.

I am not surprised by that comment when we Indians prefer to remain in a shell watching nothing but cricket. Football is a world sport...cricket survives just because of India and is not even an olympic sport!
