I see comments made on England teams performance..Who is interested? Can anyone of u name 5 players in Indian football? We neglect our own sports and blame govt. India is playing pak and the boys need full support..Lets cheer Indains always, rather than staying late nite to watch some boring league match

boring league match, i never heard such a stupid comment. you a really stupid fellow, dont know any thing about games and football. Yes, India playing pak in cricket, for 5 days and result likely to be any thing, depends on the amount od bet and not on players perfomances. if you dont know football keep away and dont make comment as boring league match. Football is viewed more than 200 countires in the world, wheras cricket played only in 10 or 15 countries in the owrld and most are former english colonies.

I am not surprised by that comment when we Indians prefer to remain in a shell watching nothing but cricket. Football is a world sport...cricket survives just because of India and is not even an olympic sport!

well i had watched the match completely during the night and thought england would perform at their best after their shocking 2-0 loss to Russia.But the match was ATROCIOUS!!England team were playing like a bunch of school guys jus hitting the ball without any signs of a professional..the defence were the worst i ve come across in an England team...all 4 were bad except for Sol Campbell who showed some resistance...Bridge was awful...I dont know how Mclaren has selected such a novice...so was the goal keeper...Scott Carlson should really be at school where he could learn the nuances of goal keeping...no dive,no aggression..i mean what sort of goal keeping is which doesnt have these ingredients...he was literally a dead soul on the field and he made a costly miss in the 1st goal which was the turning point...overall the team is in doldrums....Captain really lead the team with aggression but unfortunately no other player really showed that keenness to win and qualify...Who is to be blamed...should Mclaren resign?Or should England get back to basics and start all over again!!!We got to wait and watch..

even i also felt the same after watching the match.englishmen played as if they were asked to do so. no onfield aggression. when crough netted the teriffic second goal frm a fantastic pass by DB, only two were with him for the celebration.immatured goal keeper.....england not deseved for qualifying.
I watched the match this early morning hoping that England had the "verve" to beat Croatia and go through.. but they were a team in shambles!
It's time for the English FA to have a neutral view of themselves and where they are heading.. If they are planning to use the "Stars", then a strong discplinarian like Marcelo Lippi should be brought in to handle the team..
Maclaren got the team wrong.. beckham should have come in place of S.W.Philips in the first half itself! Also.. the myth that Lampard & Gerrard cannot play together has come true.. The moment the 2nd goal was scored by Crouch, he should have brought Hargreaves on to support the back four!
England's campaign has been utterly disappointing... it looks like some of these players just dont have the stomach / character to finish off matches!
Going by form, Spain / Portugal look most likely to win the Euro 2008

DB should have been played from the begining.Ronney (injury) & Hargreaves absence paid the penalty.
its too early to predicate the winner now, last edition Greece shattered all the hopes, u remember.
Its proven tht the richer your boards the more likely your team is going to lose most of the tournaments Wake up boards and reliase the potential players not the investors
England... A country who has one of the biggest leagues in the world. A country who has some world class players. Still they cant qualify for Euro.... Is it the Manager? Is it FA? or Is it the players?
Its time to look back. England is falling down step by step as the time passes.

India also great stars and has a great domestic structure.The league has produced so many great players and a very good ground to play. Yet when it comes to international competition,we fail!!!

Just like our national cricket H(Z)eroes, who are more of an individual talent rather than team member. Individual play rarely pays dividend for the team. Only team play excels in any field/arena. What is required for any team is dedication to the team/country, not individual charishma.
