You're the only Patriotic Sportsperson who play with such sincerity in bringing fame to our Country almost all the other sports personality play either for money or for his own personal record. Let the almighty shower all his blessings to bring more pride to our Nation.

you are absolutely right. Anand is the only true patriotic sportsperson in our country who has been in winning spree and has been bringing laurels to our country. Alas, he has not been recognised by either of the media and his name is flashed only after his winning. Whereas themedia prompty report where dhoni takes bath and what tendulkar eat and with whom lara runaround and with whom warne has dates. Hats off Anand. Bring more laurels to our country. Dont worry, true indians and sports lovers are behind you for ever. Your modesty impresses me a lot even during interviews. God Bless.

there is no diff in our rubbish media and cricketers, they are just attracted by money magnet.
It is a nice thing from Rediff that they have published the games in the algebraic notation. This way, those who do follow the game will certainly be benefitted. Publishing one game takes barely a paragraph and has an additional effect of encouraging others to understand the sport in general.

our tv channels right now are busy covering a street brawl in a corner of UP, that stupid Bolly wood movies, and sekhar suman etc. Do they have time to cover such a great events No certainly they would not have had the above statistcs too,.

This news gives us the real happiness as against that hollow triumph of TAJ !!
But our news channels still do not find space for Maestro Anand where as they have lot of time for Sania Mirza getting a wild card entry & crashing out in 1st round. (No, I don't deny the talent of Mirza but I am highlighting the bias of TV channels).
There are great talents in India in various Sports and Games. Chess, Kabadi, Hockey, Rowing, Athletics, Shooting etc. But they are not getting much importance due to cricket mania in India.
The big corporates should come forward to promote and sponsor these sports/ games and players

Yes there should be more sponsors for other sports and also the public should start encouraging other sports and not just watch cricket all the time.
