"I asses my game, doesn't matter if I win or lose a match. " asses? Is that what she said, as in the plural of ass? :-)
Sania's not in shape! She's too heavy for a tennis player. Even the Williams sisters, who are of heavy built, are muscular, not flabby. Sania is too flabby fot a tennis player... probably that's why she injured her knee!
i think i know my sports..and yes..i'ma big cricket fan too. great credit to sania..it's not her duty to us to be number 1..but it is her duty to make us proud..and she does!! keep going sania..robin in uk
I dont know why so many are disappointed with Sania. Simply put in, she is the best women's tennis player India has ever produced. She has gone into a game very popular worldwide and hence very competitive. Even if she doesnt win slams or etc., she is the only Indian battling out there. I mean including mens(in singles). For someone to do atleast that well should be great as it is an individual sport. An individual that too a woman doing it ...What are u guys moaning at? You support someone in a team game succeding once every 5 matches but not someone who is playing against all odds(country/sex/religion..). What is your problem if she looks pretty? After all womens tennis is about Glamour too since the start. More people liked Chris Evert than Martina, more people liked Steffi than Seles...its definitely about glamour. It is an added asset. Stop moaning and enjoy her success even if it meant her losing in the first round atleast until someother girl does better than her.
What did Karthikeyan do? He was just the first Indian in F1. But still he was THE FIRST.....

I think she should re-name herself as Sania Kournikova...b'cse she has nothing else to offer...and we should stop supporting who are a farce to the sport...dont take regional issues, just talk about the game in its spirit..
we are so fascinated by cricketers that any other sport or personality hardly get any mention... Sania & Leander/Mahesh have made us proud...Leave them... Sania, in particular, is basking in glory... let her enjoy...saving grace is the reception Indian press/media is giving to her...adulations will help her move up..into the hallowed portals....
i am apalled at the quality of comments that are pouring in..!please bear this in mind Tennis is ot all about talent alone.. there has to be a sound support system which is what sania needs from us...some of the comments are ridiculous... i have watched sania play/practice at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship (2006)& also saw her determination while she practiced with Mahesh & Zeeshan Ali.., and I must say she has what it takes.. to be in top 10...by 2008. we must derive inspiration from serena williams who has bounced back with vengeance... Sania has been our torch bearer...! keep it up ! Best wishes...
