IS MICHAEL SCHUMACHER A TRUE KING ???
by Arnav Ray on May 12, 2006 05:35 PM

No doubt Michael Schumacher is doing excellent as of now but I am not sure if he can sustain the backlash from Alonso and Kimi.
Alonso will surely try to get the better of Michael.
Michael was a king but that was 2 years back!!! Alonso is the new prince of F1.
I hope the race gets more competitive in the futute races and not just 2-3 drivers vying for the championship.

Very True. If you have seen the past races of M. Schumacher in which he finished 2nd or 3rd place, he never showed up like Alonso. He took it seriously though he enjoyed that moment with other drivers; say Kimi and his team-mate Reuben. Importantly he came out victorious in next race. That is the sportsman spirit you should have; he has it and that why he is considered as a Great Driver..

Hey there

hey good post mate. That was actually true. But Alonso will learn from this and we can expect to see a better Alonso down the line. Its good to see Schumi winning races again. Even at this age, his committment is just great. But the man to watch out for is Kimi, I believe. He just need to get everything set and with his immense talent, he will be the one to beat on the track.

Spot ON!!!

You could not have said it better.

I noticed it not only at the Europen grand Prix but also at last year's San Marino grand prix where Alonso was shell shocked at Ferrari's pace after they were pretty uncompetitive at the first three.

Thus inspite of taking the chequered flag he seemed worried about the prospects of facing MS in a truly competitive car. Unfortunately Ferrari could not repeat their San Marino performance. But this year they seem to be on course to sustain it and they are sure to give one Mr.Alonso several sleepless nights

Loosen up Alonso
by Raj on May 12, 2006 03:46 PM

Hey Raja,

Well written piece but I beg to differ.

Alonso is here to win races and not win the Miss Universe contest. Schumi is definately no David Beckham, Mika didnt paint the town red (pardon the pun). These drivers let their driving do the talking.

Cheers,

Raj

Is Rediff funded by Ferrari?
by Rohan Mathew on May 12, 2006 03:16 PM

Seriously, this stuff is starting to get pretty nauseating. Unless I'm very much mistaken the author of this piece (Raja Sen) is the same one who wrote one Schumacher eulogy after another in 2004. Never mind that no team had the car to touch Ferrari, and that the fastest man on the grid - a rather taciturn Finn - had a car that was blowing up on him race after race. Then in 2005, when McLaren and Renault surpassed Ferrari, that same Finn and Fernando Alonso (the "surly" champion you refer to) absolutely annihilated Schumacher, there was deafening silence from you.

Question is, how many articles, or "race reports" did you write in 2005? I can remember one - the San Marino Grand Prix, when Ferrari looked like they were back in business. Other than that there were no races to eulogise Schumacher over. And now this year, the moment Ferrari starts winning, you crawl out of the woodwork.

Surely, Rediff can do better than engaging such blatantly biased writers?
