Give credit when its due
by Amar on Sep 23, 2005 12:06 AM

Its high time Gaurav natekar stopped covering the tourney. His comments were so unprofessional. As soon as Sania started losing the second set he started looking for excuses like injury.
It is high time we appreciate opponents as well. Sania is great but we as indians need to give credit where it is due. Sania didnt lose because she had a bad day but because she was out thought and out played.
The media is going to cause Sania to burnout...reaching the 4th round should be treated as progress and not an acheivement.

Sania shocked

I hope the crazy people of India & the crazy media will take lesson from this. This is a sport. Please don't get over excited, don't blow any news too much, don't create unnecessary hype ........

It is time to get matured.

Instead spend some time to think about Lacs of those who are struggling for even one time food. Let that energy be of use to those deserving fellow beings.

Sania Schocked by Czink
by V. Krishnan on Sep 22, 2005 11:11 AM

The Media as usual over-pampered the upcoming tennis star. This extraordinary propaganda unfortunately has gone deep into her head.

She had become arrogant and took her opponent very lightly especially after defeating her in the first set 6-0 and played subsequently very arrogantly and with overconfidence underestimating her opponent. She naturally had to pay the price for it.

I felt so much disappointed - and I am sure a million tennis lovers must have also been- at her losing to some unseeded player who though played very coolly and poisedly certainly was not a better player than Sania.

Sania herself is responsible for throwing away victory like this.

I hope she learns her lesson from this defeat.

Never allow fame and glory to get into your head.

Never underestimate the opponent.

Respect the racquet ( Do not bang it on the ground if you lose a point or two or the whole match) and Behave well.

Wishing well for Sania in the future.

by ustate on Sep 22, 2005 08:08 AM

Wow, what a player. "n" number of unforced errors and Sania is the best. What a joke. She is better off at making jewels and having her nore pierced. Go do something else, Sania.

sania mania...
by Naveen on Sep 22, 2005 02:39 AM

As always if you climb the ladder of success too fast, you are bound to fall down. So Sania take your time and dont give a shit about the hype if u really wanna be a good tennis player.Concentrate on tennis. You have a whole lot of life to earn money...

Sania....Sania.....Sania!!
by Akshay on Sep 22, 2005 01:31 AM

Try to keep your feet on the ground, shorten the amount of hours spent for COMMERCIALs and ENDORSEMENTS.....apart from winning matches against KIDS in terms of rankings and seedings, try out your hand working out harder against TOP seeds....

Out come of too much complacency
by Vineet on Sep 22, 2005 01:13 AM

Sania losing in front of home crowd is clear indication of her complacency in this sunfeast open since many of players except myskina are ranked high.
this is clear innuendo of what happens if a player is flattered and is raised to skies.Apart from power sots she hits she lacks everything, play, placements , quick movements and also hitting returns during movement.ankita bhabri plays well better than sania, except for the power she lacks.Hence it could be better of not to take her to the Zenith which is way higher than where she's now.
