I am amazed at this article. I just learnt from my friends in New Jersey some scary news on Andrew Krieger.

you can type "Andrew Krieger of Palisades Park" in google and you can read all about him.

We all seem to be gullible to these promises by people whom we do not know. This sounds like another modern day "Mohammad Ghori or Ghazni" who come to India to plunder under any guise

Why only sports and business
by Pooja on Jun 17, 2004 09:36 PM

First of all thank to Andrew for placing positive thought about India. But why does he talks genetics only taking into consideration of sports and business? I don't think that genetics is realted to these traits of a person. More than genetics I think our culture and social attitude is something which makes people to generate these abilities.
If he really talks about the genetics then, he should talk about Mahatma Gandhi, Baba Amte, Shri Ramanujan, Dr. Radhakrishnan and also the current president of India Dr. Kalam.

India is big, huge population competition is too high, so every body tries to do his/her best which results in the so called genetics. So I think its not genetics its practice that makes a man perfect.
And I also belive the probability factor is the main in finiding the people with talent and when I compare it with respect to population with other countries in the world I think India still diserves more.

Moreover setting the projects like IMJB is not going to help the talent from among the 75% of Indian population who even don't know what this project is about!! So again such initiative are just for the Rich Indian who anyways can get better opportunities to gr

Great Belief
by Achintya Das on Jun 17, 2004 02:08 PM

Loads of thanks to Mr. Andrew Krieger. Since he is aware of Indian culture, he has picked-up the right thing (it says belief makes the dream reality). I have the same belief. Since long I used to tell everyone that why we cannot bring Olympic Gold? Because we lack a something. We need to have a system to pick-up the young talents across the country at their age of ten, train them for ten years in respective fields and just release them. They will bring tens of Gold medal for the country.

I am extremely happy to see that someone in the earth believe the same thing and going for it. I am sure we will have many champions that world will see them in future.

I strongly believe someones prediction (a poem in Bengali wrote before independence) that India will be again on helm of the world.

Best wishes and Good luck to Mr. Andrew Krieger and all Indians.

Achintya Das

the interview

Sounds like an ambitious entrepreneur trying to get his way through in his business plan in India. His responses to interviewer's questions are...vague, like a person who doesn't know what stmts he's making - only why he's making is kind of clear, marketing.

Doesn't it look similar to that of Ramanujan?
Anyway, the country that invented chess can sure capture it's mystique if it can take pride in being Indian. After all Great britan is not great anymore, cause tehy can't take the wealth from Indus anymore!
