Yup i agree with usha. Indian atletes lack the hunger and the drive to achieve. Lack of scientific training could be the main reason for this. For most of the participants and the officials olympics should not be visiting a foreign country but to represent your country and take pride in what you are doing. Its hard to believe that the our country was put to shame by some participants who had taken drugs hope it is not repeated next time. Atleast''no corruption in sports please''.
After reading the article by PT Usha I can't help but agree with her on the point that India should keep the year 2012 as a target to excel in instead of 2008. What is really disappointing is that these days one gets to watch a lot being done in the field of entertainment- pop music, hunt for superstars, supermodels and now funnily 'item women!'. Why cant we make better use of our resources instead in the 'hunt for super sportspersons'? It is so disheartenng to see that despite having so much untapped potential in our country no one is making any significant effort to really come up with a solution. We certainly have the time and resources to go looking for our talented actors and singers, but how about concentrating on something that will bring such honor to our country should we eventually succeed .
p t usha is correct.i thought about this.let us send our sportspeople throughout world to get training.and very few to china.this can be for getting just few medals to maintain our dignity.later we can see the rest.thanks.

I agree with PT Usha that we should follow the model of chin a in athletics. Young athletes like Chitra should be given proper care. Anyway a college has been fortunate enough in entering the indian team.
Usha's suggestions are most valid. However, what needs to happen now is that accomplished heroes like Usha, Dhanraj, and Milkha Singh should run the associations and supervise preparations. It is imperative that we get rid of the Kalmadis and Gills immediately.
Chinese are doing well because they are confident about themselves and are backing the confidence up with investments towards training and infrastructure.
We can do well too if Army had been running the country.

As a chinese , I am glad to hear that ! you know , when we
got the 30th gold , we (every chinese) cry.... we exceeded russia and got second place of Medals Tally. A large of chinese watched vollyball women on TV at that
middle night . every bout stopped all chinese and russian's
breath .we lost first two game but we won at last. we made a wonder !!!!! we share the victory .we roar ... ... I LOVE ALL GIRL IN OUR VOLLYBALL WOMEN TEAM !! As the second largest population country , people all over
the world looking at you ! WHY? you'd better make an extra
