national holiday for olympic mourning
by geeta on Aug 22, 2004 11:42 AM

india should declare a national holiday during this month to let all indians mourn for winning just one olympic. just 1-2 days back when china was in the lead in the world it was sad because of its inability to win golds in athletics. on the proposed national holiday introspection seminars / workshops should be conducted in all the 6 lakh indian villages and in all the towns and cities on why india with 105 crore people has been unable to win olympic medals for the last one hundred years.

Major Rathore has made all Indians proud by at including India's name in the Medal Tally.

At least India can boast of producing one winner amongst 1 Billion Indians.

In next olympic we hope we win 1+1=11 medals.

Thanks s well s heartiest congratulations to Mr. Rathore for creating a ripple in the stagnant pond.
But from the National Angle this is nothing more than a flash in the pan.
Lets not celebrate as a country, until we the bunch of 1 billion realize our true potential.
