We have 1.2 billion but not have a single gold or silver. what is this ?. Where is our fault. How much spent yearly for sports. All sports heros and heroins check and thinking what is my contribution for my country. shame...............shame.....shame

Ask this question to yourself first ?? why you didn't take up sports as a career ?? will you let your child to take it up against all odds ?? will you be the trend setter & bell the cat in taking this challenge & asking ur child to be a sportsman/woman ??
unfortunately no one in india has done this yet hence the situation of today

OK Mr Vargheese, Lets see how you react when your kid is not interested in Studies but in Sports. The problem is with all of 1.2 Billion of us. And if there are a few who have broken out of this buch of crabs I have a lot of respect for them - No shame here. And Mr Nandu if all of us had your tunnel vision, we'd still be hunting and living in caves.

Why dont you try to go out, practise and get us a medal than just sitting and lamenting ?
Its just because an overwelhming majority of our huge population comprises of people like you and me who can only sit and make comments, lament about no heroes in a huge population etc without ever actually going out and taking that responsibility ourselves.

hmm so whats ur contribution to sports? ever played any of them? been good at any, if so, did u try making it to the school (n perhaps higher) teams? do u encourage ur relatives who are good at sport to take it up as a career? to take it thru scientifically - the way anyone would take up education?
thats' ur bit to do.
as for me, I have been a volleyball player. was in the school team, coudlnt play at the taluk/district levels, tis been a regret. hoping to contribute whatever i can to ppl who have the talent
