At last, out national Hockey team has found a stable sponsor. Despite the fact that it is our national sport, it has always recieved step-motherly treatment both from the government and the financial houses. In spite of repeated consistient performances, our hockey players are an unknown lot. I hope that this sponsorship revives the interst in the game and our hockey players are placed on the same pedestal as some of our cricketers.

We all love the traditional indian hockey stuff and its pity that the hockey as a game has not been efficiently marketed . Its a pity that the indians won last couple of tournments when there were no sponsorers!! hope they win a hockey gold in the olympics under sahara umbrella. Long live Indian Hockey
Its good that a corporate is planning to take Indian Hockey to a new level after having done the same thing to Indian cricket.Keep it up.Please think about something for Indian Soccer also
it is really a very great step taken by SAHAHRA INDIA PARIVAR they are really proving that hockey is also a part of the INDIAN parivar and the sport can be kept alive .. with lots of talent around in hockey it was really a much needed sposorship requirement for the hockey frederation to have a sponsor and it is very sad to hear that the INDIAN hockey team was without a sponsor very discouraging for a country like india that the national side did not have a sponsor. Any ways SAHARA has done the country proud and and my best wishes to DHAN and the rest of the Indian team.
It is indeed a very welcome decision and shall raise the respect for the Game as a whole. A game which has come on its own and never forget the great legends like K.P.S.Gill who has been the constant motivational factor.
I only pray god that the players earn respect and build an image in the History of indian sports.
