reservations MUST GO. There is no place for quotas in a society like India where there is an acute shortage of resources. Also the country is turning into a substandard country.
If political parties resort to this game , there will be a civil war .
Because the affected parties - namely the open category people who are exploited on every front - monetarily , opportunities and even politically will revolt and there will be civil war.
Because we have children to feed. We have families to raise. We have lives to live.
With the world changed so fast and everything is accessible for everyone based on their financial status, reservation is not the answer for upliftment of any backward class or exploited people or any minority community. First and foremost education till graduation should be given free for all Indians irrespective of any divide. Secondly, the awareness to think positively and not negatively that they are exploited class because exploitation though is rampant in India based on class, it is not just based on class but based on economic status across all sections. Most important awareness is to ensure population growth. Only if these 3 things are ensured, alongwith free books and technology especially in rural areas based on economic status is provided then can we expect India to be one and united and the exploited and so identified backward class can grow and come up. Else even though everybody might say India is one on papers and speeches and media, India can and will never be one because the plague of politics, power, money, religion, linguistic and geographical identity, reservation will always keep India divided even after 50 more years.
It is only a political issue today as no needy and deprived barring exception is getting its benefit, all position are snatched by grandsons/daughters of already benefited class. They do not permit their own brothers/sisters to bring social change in their community life. No political party has WILL to bring correction, immediate need is to provide reservation only to one member of a BPL family as SC or ST or one member of a family to LIG as backward so that speedy imbalance is paved.
