Utter nonsense and biased to the core
by Sriram R on Oct 21, 2018 11:52 AM  | Hide replies

The primary cause is the careless and irresponsible attitude of the people. The people mowed down were not some immigrants from far away. Most of them were locals who very well knew that there is a railway line there through which express trains pass. Then how is it that people are only a contributory factor but railways is responsible. Utter nonsense

You are spot on. Authors like these come and write articles without any civic sense or traffic sense. They feel entitled to stand anywhere and everywhere and then malign the institutions when they are harmed due to their own chalta hain attitude

/Even though people are responsible if 1000 people gather before train the train pilot will go on? it is not the robot that is running the train!

Why are you so one sided. I regularly read rediff nnews and found it one sided, hypocritical, always liaded against the BJP givt. Here, holding a function near railway track itself is a crimal act But you have failed to analyse these thinga but failed to bring local authorities who are supposed keep vigil on such happennings

This is the FOOLISH EXCISE. In general ppublic must know not to stand on rail ttrack. It is reficulus to expect that railway should guard every inch of their tracks.
The politicians believe that by garnering crowd they are able to make feel others that they are important. We too endorse the same.

What a shame! Instead of blaming the ruling class and the organisers, you start passing on the buck. Those on stage should have stayed on for help rather than absconding in the darkness.

Punjab Rail Accident
by k lakshminarayana on Oct 21, 2018 08:26 AM

It is clearly the blunder of Congress-led Government. How did the Punjab Police gave permission to hold the event close to railway line? Were there not Policemen monitoring the event? BIASED REDIFF IS ONLY BLAMING RAILWAYS AND CENTRE AS USUAL. PUNJAB CM SHOULD RESIGN.
