If we want to make the Industrial nation, these are all common problems. Environment is bound to suffer. First, we have to think, are we ready to leave the Industrial products ? It is highly impossible. We want industrial benefits, but not industrial effects. Politicians creats one other reasons to suppress the Industrialists for corruption. If the company is not ready to their demanded corruption they create such agitations against the Industry. Unless and corruption ends in the nation, agitators are created by politicians like Cong & JDS of arnatak.
It is surprising to read the comments. Some comments are linking this incident with religion. Those are fighting for survival. Those are struggling with so many health issues and lost the lives of their beloved ones due to the severe environmental pollution by this company sterlite

I failed to understand one simple thing. Everyone wants employment. A white Collar Job. Sitting in office. But what they will do. Every factory if it's a manufacturing there shall be pollution. How to mitigate should be strategy. Manufacturing means, employment. Every manufacturing activity have well laid succession rehabilitation plan well approved by Govt. Industrial and Social entities. But there is a bigger conspiracy to abandon employment opportunities all across the Nation in the name of pollution. The bulging population and household waste are not pollutant. The rackless use of house hold plastic is not a pollutant. Lets be fair in evaluation.

Facts are distorted here.It was a paid coup to keep the government in tenterhooks by fringe elements mainly compromising christian minority. The same politicians took money from sterlite earlier, andnow protesting.
I sense two topics here. One is the real one which is people protesting because they fear water level will be depleted and air will be more polluted than before. Other topic is that of politicians who want to bake their food while the heat is on. It means they want to scare the Sterlite management into giving them a bribe for removing the people from creating a scene. Hence they got some fishermen and used them as bait. All people killed were fisher folk and no farmers who are the actual protestors. So nothing to do with Central govt. But, everything to do with State govt.
About 20,000 people took out a procession towards the district collectorate and the copper plant with the intention of picketing them, demanding for its permanent closure ! 9 Peoples died in Procession in Tuticorin only Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has ordered judicial inquiry into Tuticorin violence and police action that left nine people dead! Modiji is quiet no Tweets or Bhason with hands moving clapping left hand to right? If Bengals antisocial died during Election Modiji raised Voice Democracy is in Danger !

I agree. Kalyan posts utter rubbish & focuses on sectarian & divisive issues. He has little understanding of what the real problem is but wades into a discussion with his half baked ideas which should be termed as trash.

People are pawns in the hands of 20 odd political parties in TN. They cannot understand this as they are made to believe the parties are their protectors
Once upon a time The people had to die to get freedom from the British rule. Now People have to die for their survival and in their fight against the Rich and greedy millionaires who are backed by the Govt.Is This country only for Rich. The Poor and ordinary people are not unwanted by the Govt.

Living somewhere do not pass such irrelevant comments. Over 15 years there were protests in this regard. The author's half communication leads to write such comments. For the past 100 days daily there were protests in Gandhian principles- just sitting dharna. The Power that be ought to have taken requisite steps or must have the capacity to convince people with specific figures. Are you aware of the fact the Dist Tuticorin is the highest literate population, if compared with any of the districts in India. First freedom struggle started from this district in India. Of the top 10 freedom fighters in TN, the district has about 8 .
