Protests
by arungopal agarwal on May 23, 2018 12:53 PM

Our leaders are not serious for national population policy, common civil code, and reservation policy to all who are paying Income Tax, all such issues are deferred by all and burning inside the minds of all.
Civil riots situation will be created soon if not taken care of.

They will not allow factories to expand but they still complain about having no jobs. The entire lot of protestors should have been teargassed and driven away instead of shooting.

Tear gas were used but still the protest turned violent, When lathi-charged they even attacked the police and burnt private and govt vehicles and properties.
They should have protested in front of the offices and not destroy them. The public property will take time to be restored back as it will involve various agencies for investigation and for doing rework via contract system.

If people in that place protest whatever be the reason for closure, let the govt heed it. Let the factory be dismantled and set somewhere near Mumbai or Chennai.

where will you setup if people in those cities too protest asking not to let the industries near their cities and also if all industries are to be set near capital cities then migration to the cities will be more and it will effect the overall eco balance of the cities like sewage, drinking water, power, and other utilities required.
Agree they may have port and good roadways to the ports

I was reading all the comments but do we not think that these Industrialists are not even giving a thought to look at the mess they are creating by polluting Air and water to fill up their coffers. They can put aside some money to check the pollution they are causing or otherwise we will be leaving our childrens a land just fit for burials.

Ashish mukherjee Corruption is everywhere ! How this sterlite get no objection permission from pollution control board ? Are you aware of the fact this Sterlite factory could not get licence to have it in Maharashtra. But then govt of TN during early 90s accorded sanction. It is the responsibility of Govts - for continuance of factory - whether they have adhered the norms specified by respective/various authorities. they are now on expansion ! Villagers protest is Permissible ! everyone has right to take pollution free air and pollution free water !
Lalu Done Chara Ghotala (Fodder Scam ), which he has got punishment of the animal food and the Mudi (grocery) has taken away the food of the people by Demonetization and given bunch of promises "sab ka sath sabka vikash "! This is the sample ?

What should the police do ?
by auryas on May 23, 2018 10:05 AM

These sh^t heads should be trained for journalistic ethics to report unbiased news. Not to side with a section and try to paint the other side with prejudice.

What should the police do when the crowd out there trying to destroy , create havoc and attack police ?

Police responsible for law and order situation. What they did resulted in deaths . Sad.

Why not leaders of this agitation dragged to the streets and kicked the cr^p out of and interrogated to find out which political party is behind these PROTESTS ?

The protests have been going on for a very long time . Why this sudden eruption post the Karnataka elections ?

Is there a scientific study that proves that indeed this plant pollutes the ground water ?

has this been challenged in the court of law ?

Do not publish this kind of Bigoted Sh^t
by auryas on May 23, 2018 10:00 AM

Rest of the state and country should put up as a bunch of hooligans and vandals and anti social elements go on rampage in the name of protest ? because they do not like it ?

So you go on destroying public property and create unrest if you do not like what the government does ?

Do not publish this kind of bigoted sh^t written by some scum bag who does not have guts to cover both side of the story. Cover both sides of the story. Do not be cinematic covering 'oppressed, suffered' class and paint rest of the world as villains.

His statement itself is tantamount to raking up passions in a peaceful community. 'Be ready to die if you want to take on the govt'?

Lot of us here are SICK and TIRED of these protests. One day it is 'DALIT ANGER', the other day it is 'CAUVERY WATER' anger another day it is 'SAVE DEMOCRACY' agitation. What kind of sh^t is this ?

Who gave you right to destroy public property which is paid for by the entire nation ? Not just TUTICORIN people.
