Eight arrested after they ‘waved’ black flags at PM Modi, Rajasthan CM’s rally
The arrested men are contractual workers on administrative posts in the National Health Mission department and have been demanding that they be made permanent employees. Here’s what those 8 people have been booked under -

Section 147 (rioting)
Section 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of duty)
Section 353 (assault to deter public servant)
Section 336 (act endangering life or safety of others)
Can someone please explain to me, how waiving flags can amount to rioting? How can it amount to assault? How can it endanger someone’s life.

Modi is acting like a dictator and nothing else.

Recently, a BSF soldier lost his salary because he didn’t use the word “honorable”. So much for democracy.

religious identity based voting and caste identity based voting !

One thing remains unchanged though - a majority of U.Pites, like their brethern in most other north Indian states, defecate in the open due to grinding poverty and gargantuan scales of corruption !

SP-BSP Joining hands
by alok shah on Mar 14, 2018 05:24 PM  | Hide replies

Apropos the newly created SP-BSP political understanding if not chemistry. It augurs well for both the parties. If they take the Congress party also along as per the realities of the day, they can indeed inflect real political blow to the hegemonic designs of the BJP in trying to dominate the body politic of India. They have gained enormous political dividends because of the rift between non-BJP political stake holders. It is indeed true that BJP represents the 'Manuwadi' upper caste Hindu political landscape & they are only to brazen and naked about it.
For them 'Sabka Vikas' is a mere slogan to entrench their unruly political agenda on otherwise pluralistic, composite India by imposing their own brand of pan-Indian Hindu nationalism & cultural patriotism. BJP's 'Achhe Din' should soon be over; one can fool people once with big tall promises, not always. India's insurmountable political, social & economic problems can be attended to only if one respects India's diversity & not impose any unscientific monolithic culture on its landscape.

The whole discussion in the article is about caste & religious divide & nothing about national issues. Are these apposition combine can deliver if coming to power? The history shows that they start fighting each other for post/favor once they enjoy power.

India will remain as Developing Country for next Centuries
by KRISHNAN DAMODARAN on Mar 14, 2018 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

We all know there were severe burning issues soon after our independence from British and for which we should give 10-15 Years for Congrss to fix it. Even then they ruled for another 30 more years. They started Gareebi Ghatao, Jai Jawan slogans and said to have initiated host lot of programs. The issues of Farmers and the plight of poor and Adivasis is not the result of 4 years rule of NDA. According to me they are trying to fix the core issues at Macro level by implementing long term policies. The benefit of such schemes could be reaped only after couple of years. Definitely NDA is trying their best. The silent work of Nithin Gadkari will be appreciated later. There are a few imange spoiler in the party and in Ministry. If Mr. Mody could kick Mr. Jaitely as early as possible, it would be better. The way in which he managed the Demonitization, the haste in GST implementation, and the scams in PSU Banks, Implimentation of Long Term capital gain in Securities etc are examples. A few months before during a travel from Baroda to Mumbai , I happened to meet a very young Sr.Officer in Indian Navy and chat for hours. I still remember what he said. Modiji ka Baap Ayeaga tho Be,Bharat to fix karna Mushkil hi. Our enemy's are within . There are people in India who wants to destabilize India all the time. They think only they can set right the things and they failed. The poor people is highly influenced by the Media and their memory is very short. They want instant results.

The problem in India, as you said, is deep rooted. But RSS along with its gang leaders are problem itself. They are more interested in imposing their communal philosophy than addressing the problem. Development is only an alibi .

win is win lose is lose so their is no debate. but over all vote percentage was too less in that by poll so it is not the actual test actual test will come 2019 but give some energy to opposition to unite against bjp .in politic it is also not healthy for a political party to make their party self build
