dignity of the office of the armed forces is unstained. with overtures towards ruling dispensation shows bias approach, moreover when religion and political parties are attached to the opinion. it will be graceful of him to apologise rather ran keep the communal pot boiling.

I DONT AGREE. JUST BECAUSE HE IS ARMY GENERAL IT DOESNOT INSULATE HIM FROM THE CURRENT POLITICAL AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS OF THE COUNTRY .HE IS ALSO WELL READ AND POLITICALY AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING . ITS JUST THAT THE DEFANCE MECHANISAM IN INDIA IS SUCH THAT ALL THE THREE SERVICES DONOT COME TOGATHER AND GO THE PAKISTAN WAY. HAD IT BEEN THE CASE ALL THE POLITICAL CROOKS LIKE PAPPU , MULLAH MULAYAM , LALOOOOS ,DEVEGOWDAS CHIDUS , DIGGYS ETC WOULD NOT HAVE BEEEN ON THE POLITICAL SCENE TODAYU

Armed Forces are to follow the orders of their Supreme Commander, the President in our democracy. If he allows himself to start thinking of political manoeuvres, he can be dangerous with the regime change. And he can be dangerous to Opposition. Has this Chief superseded others` seniority? Just a query here.

Usually, it`s court martial that works in armed forces,in all serious cases. The Chief of the Army Staff, Gen.Rawat has certainly revealed his inward tilt in favour of BJP, the ruling party. Such an officer may well be always within the Constitution, even when the Govt.(the President)may give orders to use forces for internal political objectives. The General may not be expected to question such an order if the situation arises.

This is indeed a serious matter and there evidence of politicization with communal tilt in the past. One may recall Hitler`s Gestapo/SS and the Soviet Russia`s KGB/NKVD etc.
